Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Marathon

23 July, 2011

Harry Potter marathon outfit 2On July 12th we went to watch the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” marathon at our local cinema. The Marathon started at 21.30 with the first part of the Deathly Hallows, and continued after 00.00 with the premiere of the second part. Being a huge Harry Potter fan and having read all of the books, I wanted to be the “first” to watch the new (and last) movie, and the marathon was a great idea, with a really good price.

This is what I wore to the premiere:

My (new, bought in Vienna) H&M dress, unknown brand bag (seen again here), Tsakiris Mallas heels, vintage watch and bracelets, earrings from Voila (jewelry shop in Thessaloniki), Accessorize headband.

The quality of the pictures isn’t perfect, the same thing that happens every time with poor lighting, but I think that you get the picture from them.

Obviously, I didn’t have my sunglasses with me as it was 3.30 o’clock in the morning, but I used the 3D glasses they gave us for the second part of the movie. And I think they worked just fine. 🙂

I know it took me a while to post these photos, but I wanted to do a few posts about my trip first. Hope you like them anyway.

These are some details of the outfit.

I painted my nails, using, Erre Due’s exclusive no. 145 (Baby Blue), and did French tips to my ring fingers using GT Cosmetics’ “Art Nails Lacquer French tips” No. 9 (Silver Glitter). I topped them with Mavala’s MavaDry top coat, for fast drying nails.

This Erre Due’s nail polish was not so easy to apply, as it was a bit thick, and it needed two hands of the coat to look like this.

I really enjoyed being in this outfit, even though everyone else was in casual clothes and flats, and that got me a lot of staring again, but who cares?

What’s your opinion?

P.S. If everything goes as planned, while you’re reading these lines, I’d be sunbathing at a beautiful beach in Chalkidiki. Hope you all have a fantastic day!

  1. Great Saturday, sunbathing in Chalkidiki, wow! I really want to go there one day! Enjoy it a lot – sun also “appeared” here today, but it’s not a beach here!
I love your style, always so elegant and with a different touch at the same time! You know I love these shoes (I told you once, I guess) and I’m sure I told you I simply love your green purse (I googled both the bag and the shoes, I told you that!), so to write now that I loved your outfit is repeating! But I did! The dress is a perfect match to the details and that’s right, people do stare, but what can we do? We have to be true to ourselves and our styles! Dressing like the others “expect” us to be leads us to be… another person, not ourselves. And we take so many years reflecting, building up our personalities, why would we do what the others think is better – for them, not for us…
So, I know you’ll keep your lovely and elegant style and I’m eager to see what you wore in Chalkidiki – no, not a bikini, but when going out to a bar/pub/restaurant/taverna!!!!
    Filakia polla and have fun!

    • Thank you Denise! I’m still in Chalkidiki, and it’s really difficult to write, cause I’m using my bf’s BB. I didn’t bring many clothes with me,cause it’s only for 2 days. So I don’t know if I’ll have an outfit post from here,to show you. If you come at Salonica in August, I’d be happy to take you to Chalkidiki. We ‘ll talk again when I’ll be home. Kisses.

  2. I still have yet to see the movie! Its been pure craziness at all the theaters and I wanted to avoid the crowd! Love your shoes and the nails are adorable! You look fab! 🙂

    • Thank you very much! I booked my tickets days before the premiere, because I wanted to be one of the firsts to see it. But yes, it was really crowdy.
