Let’s party some more

5 June, 2012

This is the post I promised you, with the last birthday celebration I had. How many celebrations did I have? The answer is 3! After all, it’s my birthday, and I can have as many celebrations as I want to.  And the more the better! First I celebrated my birthday on the 16th of May with my bf, then on the 19th I had a birthday party with my closest friends, in which I wore one of my favorite outfits so far, and then on the 20th I celebrated my birthday again, with some family friends. So, here’s what I wore at that little gathering….

Navy/white striped dress: Yumi (belt came with the dress), shoes Buffalo via Spartoo.gr (seen before here), Donna Karan sunglasses, Esprit watch, and street vendor bracelet.

I bought this dress when I went shopping for my cousin’s wedding, which is at the end of this month. I forgot to photograph the cute bow buttons it has on the shoulders.

Anyway, I wore my new Buffalo Addison mary-jane pumps I bought via spartoo.gr last month, to match them with the red belt that the dress had. They were a bit bigger on my feet, than a usual 38 size, and they almost gave me blisters. I should wear them a bit around the house to make them more comfortable to walk in.

This is Shoe Save #7/56 for my Shoeper Shoe Challenge by Shoeperwoman.com. I actually purchased a new pair last Friday, which you’re gonna see on the blog really soon, and I have 2 more on their way to me, which means, that my collection now consists of 59 pairs. But we’ll talk about that later. 😉

What are your thoughts about this outfit? Did you like it?

  3. When I saw this outfit, I thought “the best I have ever seen!” Then I thought “but I always say that to her”, but oh my God, then I thought again “no, some days ago she posted her May outfits and chose my favorite ones”. So now I’m thinking that the best outfit in my opinion was a green one shoulder dress with pink “belt” you once wore to a wedding (drooling, gorgeous outfit) and then THIS ONE! I simply loved the dress and the way you combined it with the shoes! The outfit is amazing and you look fabulous! Cngratulations for your choices!
As for me, now beieve it or not I caught a cold again. But I know why. Not only it’s very cold here (3 degrees C, but sunny), but I recognized that when I feel unhappy or at least not doing what I want to, I get sick quite often. It was like this when I once worked in a place that I didn’t like, every week I had to go to a doctor – and it was nothing. Psychological. Same now!
But well, I think I discovered a way to post new pictures on my blog!
Beautiful dress worn by a beautiful girl! (The heart is beautiful too!)

    • Awww you’re so sweet! Every time your comments make me blush, and smile! hehe
I remember that you liked that wedding outfit. I hope I’ll have a chance to wear it again this year, I like it too. And I’m so glad you liked this outfit as well. It’s one of the dresses I bought when I went shopping to find the proper dress for my cousin’s wedding. I got another one, that haven’t worn yet. You should see the shoes I bought these days! I added 3 more pairs to my collection. I’ll post them as soon as possible. I’m so behind with my posting. I try to post every 2 days now.
I’m so sorry to hear that you caught a cold. 3 degrees! wow! That’s really low, and you’re in the beginning of winter…I thought you didn’t have such temperatures there. But I get what you mean, about the psychological reasons, and how feeling unhappy, and not doing what you want can make you sick. You should eat lots of fruits, or take vitamins to help you with your cold, and stay warm…
Thank you so much for everything. I saw you have a new post, but didn’t have time to comment yet. I hope to do it tonight! So see you soon!
      Filakia pollaaaa!!! 🙂

  4. Hey M! Love this outfit so so much! A black and white dress with red accessories is such a classic combination. In fact the dress I bought for my brothers upcoming wedding is black and white and a similar style to yours and after seeing your outfit, I’m on the lookout for red shoes and bags! This is a link to the dress if you fancy taking a look, do you think I should go for red? http://www.onewedding.co.uk/bridesmaid-dress/jasper-conran-bridesmaid/black-firework-floral-prom-dress/
This is definitley my favorite of all your birthday outfits, although I also loved the green dress!

    • Hey Laura! Thank you so much! I almost didn’t see your comment, as it went straight to spam, because of the link…Good thing I checked it out.
I loved the dress, and I think it would look great with red accessories. I totally recommend it! But black and white, is a classic combination, so you can combine it with almost anything. If you like the shoes I’m wearing here, they are available at spartoo which is a mostly European store. It took me a long time to find my perfect pair of red shoes. And I’m glad I bought these.
Good luck with your search! I love weddings! You can also check what I was wearing at my brother’s wedding here, and at another one I attended, here. Just for inspiration, as I was wearing colorful dresses…
Best wishes for your brother! 🙂
