Blue, white and pink skies | Outfit post

17 September, 2012

Hello to everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. My weekend was full of rain, as Fall made its first appearance. But before the weather took a bad turn, we managed to photograph a few more of my outfits, with T. You’ll see them all when the time comes, but this week is almost completely dedicated to Vancouver Fashion Week, and my priority is to write a few posts about it. But we’ll get back to that, soon. This is the 2nd outfit I wore to spend the day with T. I desperately needed to save these sandals, according to the Shoeper Shoe Challenge by Shoeperwoman.com that I’m taking part in, so I wore them with a pretty casual outfit, to tone them down. Let me know what you think in the comments section below.

Top: gifted, white jeans: Miss Sixty, bag: vintage, sandals: D&G, sunglasses: Ray-Ban folding wayfarers, necklace: vintage, watch: Esprit, bracelet: Eleutheriou jewellery.

Nail polish no. 296, coral by Barry M.

Shoe Save #29/60 for my Shoeper Shoe Challenge by Shoeperwoman.com.

After these shots we went to the supermarket (yes I went to the supermarket with these shoes!), to the cinema to get fresh popcorn and nachos and then we headed to T’s house to watch a movie. We watched many movies last week, and we enjoyed it so much! It’s something that we missed doing while he was in the army.

See you all soon… I owe you some outfit posts and you’ll probably see them next week, but I think it’s worth it, even if I have to postpone them for the VFW.

  1. I love to see you wearing white pants! You look so fabulous wearing this outfit! Loved the top and the sandals, oooh! I told you before that I really loved them!
Such a coincidence, it was raining here over the weekend too and I went to the supermarket yesterday too 🙂 !
I am very happy for you that you are watching movies and going out with T. again, and that soon he’ll leave army! Great news!
Well, I am organizing everything I can… in 19 days I will fly… and time flies!

    • Thank you very much! As always you’re really sweet Denise! I don’t know what I would have done without your amazing compliments. You make my day, every time! I always smile when I read your comments!
It’s still raining I’m afraid. They say that it will return back to sunny days from Friday on, let’s hope so. We had a great time with T. and we took many photos (you’ve already seen 2 of the outfits we photographed, and there are 2 more coming, probably next week). Less than 13 for the army duty to come to an end. Yayy, and they may let him out for a few more days.
Unfortunately, I have some bad news too, not about T., but I’ll tell you in your blog.
      19 days isn’t so long…I’m happy for you! 🙂

    • Thank you very much! I should but I didn’t have the chance until now. I had so many shoes to wear this summer, and not many fancy places to go. hehe I bought these 2 years ago for my brother’s wedding, and they also have a pretty matching bag.
I’m glad you liked the result. I was going for something like this. Of course I styled the whole outfit around these shoes, as I usually do.

  2. These shoes are really amazing M! They remind me of the pink ones that Carrie wore in Sex and The City, when she saw them in the window and had to have them.. Louboutin waterfall sandals, I remember because I was obsessed at the time! So beautiful and I love that you wore them with more casual outfit, totally works! x

    • Thank you Steph! You’re totally right! They do look like the Christian Louboutin sandals Carrie wore on Sex & the City. That’s one more reason to love mine! hehe 🙂

  3. Hey M!
Just spent a lovely hour catching up on your blog after a very hectic month! My brother got married and we had a wonderful day. I paired the dress I showed you with red accessories in the end by the way and managed to find a gorgeous fascinator for the day!
Love these photos. Your outfit is simple and classic but above all you look really happy, must be because you’ve got your man back! And what a good idea to get goodies from the cinema then take them home for your own private viewing where other people can’t bother you and you can pause the film when you need a wee…genius! xx

    • Hey Laura! Thank you so much for your compliments, and for taking time to read some of my older posts.
Congratulations about your brother. I’m sure you had a great time, even if it’s a bit hectic when the time comes, and there are so many things to do. I’m glad you decided to go with red accessories…They must have been great with your B&W dress and I’m sure the fascinator was a great touch to the outfit.
We do this quite often…take popcorn home and watch movies at the PC or the projector, and have a private viewing. hehe You should try it. 🙂
