Preveza vacation Day 2 | Travel

20 September, 2013

Day 2 of our vacation to Preveza was quite full, and filled with lots of back and forths between towns. We did many things that day and we also managed to be back at the hotel for every meal and relax by (and in) the pool. Started the day with a good breakfast (I missed those!), before visiting the famous city of Parga which seems to be very popular among tourists. We walked through the busy roads and alleys there, took lots of photos and headed to Lichnos beach which was very close to Parga (note that the fish there bite! And I’m being totally serious! They bit my leg and made it bleed. Ok it was tiny, but it hurt. Vicious fish! Never been bullied out of water by fish; that was a first!). So after we left that beach, we returned to our hotel for lunch, and then sat by the pool and relaxed under the sun while reading magazines. Of course at some point we swam too, and it was sooo good. The hotel pool was amazing. After dinner we headed to Parga again to see how it looks at night, since it was the only city we encountered that was still so lively, and full of tourists. Please read the labels under each photo and excuse me for putting so many photos in one post. It was impossible to choose among them, and since this is a diary post, I decided to put them anyway. Enjoy!

P.S. It was the first time I visited the areas near Preveza and I wasn’t aware that the roads that link the towns and cities are not lighted, so please be careful if you’re doing a lot of driving after dark, because it’s impossible to see clearly without using your high beams if you don’t know the road.

    • Hi Jane! The post IS written in English. Everything except the 2nd paragraph is in English plus the captions under the photos.
My blog has turned bilingual from January 2013, so it would be easier for my Greek readers to read my posts, but it was always written in English since its creation.
I hope you visit it again soon! 🙂 Thank you for your comment!

  3. Hey M! So glad you and T had a nice holiday. Parga looks beautiful, really picturesque. The picture of you with Panagia island behind you is lovely, I’m envious of whoever lives in the white house on the island, what a beautiful place to live!
You look radiant and really happy in these pics and you should in no way be shy of showing your bikini shot, you look great! Sorry to hear about the fish bullies! I had a similar experience in the Dominican Republic so I totally sympathise! XX

    • Hey Laura! Thank you! Parga is indeed really picturesque and I desperately wanted to visit it. We went there 3-4 times. hehe The little house on Panagia (Virgin Mary in Greek) island is actually a church. You can visit it by boat, but it’s so close to Parga, that many were swimming to get there.
At first I thought it was only my idea when the fish bit me, but turns out it wasn’t only me who was bitten. Didn’t like that beach, as I couldn’t actually swim there with these fish.
Thank you so much for your compliment. I was wondering whether or not to post the bikini shot, since I’m still on a diet, and I had gained some kilos during winter, and I still don’t have my ideal body, but I did anyway! 🙂

  4. First comment I post for weeks!!! My computer crashes all the time! I had loads of problems today! But I had to come here to see the beauty of Parga! The island, I told you, it’s exactly that one! The place looks amazing, really, but you look even more amazing! The outfits were beautiful, very good for walking and enjoying holidays and the pool is fabulous! The fish bite, oh no! I never heard of that, wow! Your bikini picture is really sensational, you look so gorgeous and with a great model body! Makia!

    • Oh don’t worry about commenting. I know you have many things to take care off. I know that you’re reading my blog whenever you can and you support my work, and I’m thankful for that.
I’m glad you liked my photos from Parga! You should see the new post too whenever you can.
Oh I don’t have a model body, and I never will, because I’m pear-shaped, and usually models are either hourglass-shaped or just flat. But I’d be happy to reach my goal and have my previous body, which is the ideal one for me. Thank you though! 🙂

    • Thank you Steph! Oh I wasn’t very comfortable posting more photos, since I gained a few kilos over the winter, and I’m still on a diet, but that wasn’t so bad, I think.
I posted more photos of Parga, and some of Acheron river on my new post. Thank you for your comment! 🙂
