Seventeen makeup essentials palette review

Seventeen makeup essentials palette reviewSeventeen’s makeup essentials palette is a limited edition one, that includes 3 types of products in it: 3 Bronzing/contouring powders (a light, a warm and a dark one), 2 blushes (one pink and one peachy), and one highlighter in champagne color. It’s a really nice palette with beautiful colors, and packaging, with a nice big mirror, and it closes magnetically. The contour powders have nice warm colors, while the blushes and the highlighter are easy to use and perfect for your everyday makeup looks. I’ve been using this for the past month or so, and I love it. It costs around 30 euros, and you can find it in Greece, and other countries where Seventeen Cosmetics sells its products (it’s a Greek brand).

Benefit Cosmetics Ka-Brow! review

Let me talk to you a little about Benefit Cosmetics’ Ka-Brow! In case you’re not familiar with it, it’s a cream-gel colored product, that comes in 6 shades, and as its name suggests, it’s for your brows. It’s a pomade that comes in this beautiful and very practical packaging, that includes a hard-angled brush to help shape and fill your eyebrows in the best way possible. It’s super easy to use, even for an amateur like me, and it gives a very nice effect, that can be build from natural-looking to more dramatic, depending on your personal taste and needs. Mine is shade 3-medium, which is a bit on the lighter side for me, but just barely, so I like it a lot. I probably could have gone with shade 4, so I may check that one out in the future. It’s very long-lasting, so you can wear it from day to night without having to re-apply it. I would definitely recommend you try it!

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin perfector C pop review

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin perfector C pop review

One of my favorite products of 2017, was definitely this highlighter by Becca Cosmetics, in collaboration with Jaclyn Hill. I’ve only had it in my hands for 2-3 months for the end of 2017, but it definitely won a place in the top 17. The shade is called C-Pop or Champagne pop as some people are calling it, and it’s a perfect rose-gold shimmery shade. I’ve been using it almost non-stop since the day I got it, and you can say it was love at first sight for me. Some people say that its glow is very intense, but I think it’s buildable. You can use it from day to night, and make it as intense as you like. It comes in a really nice round container, with a nice big mirror, which makes it perfect for travelling. Of course I took it with me to Athens last month; I simply couldn’t leave it behind. If you’re looking for a nice highlighter you should definitely check out this one!

Kat von D Alchemist Holographic palette review

The Kat von D Alchemist Holographic palette is one of the most beautiful palettes I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. It has a gorgeous holographic packaging, the palette itself is triangle-shaped, and it has 4 pastel-colored highlighting powders in it. “Emerald” has a green hue, “Saphyre” has a blue hue, “Amethyst” has a violet hue, and “opal” has a pink hue. They’re all holographic and very pretty and all highly-pigmented. A light touch of your brush on them is going to give you extreme glow. That’s even good or bad, depending on how you’re doing your makeup and how much glow you want for it. For me, it’s definitely too much for everyday, so I’m keeping it for very special occasions. My favorite hue is definitely Opal, because it’s the most discreet one, that might give you a more natural glow. Mind you though, there’s nothing natural about these highlighters; the result is gonna be intense. Another thing I didn’t love about this palette, is the size of the pans. They’re tiny, like eyeshadow ones, so if you’re using them a lot, it’s gonna hit pan fast. That compared to the price of the palette is a bit discouraging. But if you love the colors and you love your bold highlighters, go for it. 😉

NYX HD Studio foundation review

NYX HD Studio foundation reviewIt’s been a few weeks since I wrote my last beauty review here on the blog, so I’m back with another one. And I can’t believe I haven’t already written a review about this makeup product. I was certain that I already had, but I checked, and no…I haven’t! Let’s correct that then! I’ve been using NYX’s HD Studio Photogenic foundation for a couple of months non-stop now and I have to tell you, I absolutely love it. It has a very nice consistency, medium to high coverage, and it’s not absolutely matte, something that goes perfectly well with my skin type which is more on the dry side, especially during the winter months. The shade “vanilla” is a little bit darker than my skin tone, but it blends so well that you can’t really tell. I love the finish it leaves on the skin, and the coverage. It’s very light weight and easy to apply, it doesn’t makes you look cakey, on the contrary, and looks great in photos or videos. I love it so much, that I’m definitely going to purchase it after this tube is over. It’s my go-to foundation for the past couple of months.
