LBD, studs and turquoise

20 September, 2011

LBD, studs and turquoiseHello everyone! I hope you had a fantastic weekend, and an interesting Monday!

Today is Fashion’s Night Out in Thessaloniki, Greece, and I’m planning to go and take a look to all the events that are going to take place in our city, for the first time.  Find the full list of the shops that are going to participate here. I hope to take lots of pictures to show you, but I’m having some problems with my camera lately, so I can’t promise you anything.

The outfit I’m going to show you today is a combination of my studded Little Black Dress, and some turquoise accessories, that I wore a few nights ago. And once again, I want to apologize in advance for the poor quality of the photos, as the late afternoon light and being in a hurry don’t help.

I was wearing: Studded LBD by Moschino Jeans, tiny bag by Kem, shoes by Aslanis, sunglasses: Donna Karan, bracelet: vintage. On my fingernails: GT Cosmetics no. 9 and on my toenails: Erre Due Exclusive no. 40.

And, as always a close up of the shoes and the accessories:

Hope you like it! Either way, I’m waiting for your comments! 🙂

And again, it would mean a lot to me if you could follow my blog any way you prefer.

Have a great day! And to those of you who live in Thessaloniki, if you go to FNO, I would love to meet you in person. It’s always nice to meet new people, and especially fellow bloggers that live in your city.

  1. Oh, again, the model posing! You simply could have been a model if you wanted, because you are soooo beautiful – face, body and heart! I loooved the pictures now, it’s a simply WOW what I have to say and you know this! You could enter any of those “some country Next Top Model” and win!
I really loved your dress, cause I love studded items of clothing. And the way you matched with one of my favorite colors, turquoise, great! You look really amazing!
What for a nice idea, to have a Fashion Night Out in the city, not a Fashion Week (I’m sure you must have Fashion Week there too, right?)
I was thinking of the Greek nail polish yesterday – to tell you the truth, today – cause I used a Rimmel one yesterday and… today it’s already peeling/chipping, Disastrous! And the bottle said “10 days”! I wonder, 10 days what… that you’ll look at your nails and think “oh, no…” – must be that!
    Filakia pooooolla!

    • Oh my sweet Denise, I don’t have words to thank you! I’m afraid I’m lacking some cms and I have some extra kilos for a modelling career, but thank you! I saw your lovely comment yesterday but didn’t have the time to reply. I’ll send you an email, as soon as I can.
Yes, FNO is an event that is organised by Vogue, in many countries all over the world, and this was the first FNO in Thessaloniki. I think that this was the 3rd time it was held in Athens. I don’t think we have fashion week here (or I’m too ignorant), but they Fashion Week in Greece’s capital, Athens.
Oh it’s so annoying to have it chipped in 1-2 days. I wish I had a link to show you the colors of the greek nail polishes, but I’m afraid there isn’t one. I’ll search for it and I’ll get back to you. I’ll send you an email to give you any links I’ll find. And you can tell me which colors you’d want me to buy and send to you.
      Filakia polla! 🙂

    • Thank you so much for your lovely comment Sara. I have many LBDs, it’s such a classic piece in a woman’s wardrobe. And the shoes were a love at first sight. From the moment I saw their color, cuts, and back laces I was in love.

  3. That dress suits you very well, nice match for the colors, you look so stunning and delicate. .The outfit really shows you off specifically and perfectly. .so glamorous..

  4. I hope you had a wonderful time at the FNO and that you have solved the problems with your camera (so that you can show us lovely pictures!). I cannot imagine what happens on a FNO or how it looks (location, etc.) but I hope to get an insight through you 😉 And of course, you looked gorgeoug! Thanks for your comments – every comment is written so lovely. BTW: Nina Dobrev is an actress in the USA ( but she is bulgarian) – actually playing the Elena / Katherine (it is a double role) in “The Vampire Diaries”, a weekly tv series (I love it!!!).

    • Hi, MFD! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Yes, luckily I didn’t have any problems with my camera, but I didn’t take many pictures, mostly shop windows. I didn’t even had time to look at my pics yet, but I’ll do it asap and see if I can make a post out of them. Otherwise I’ll link to other bloggers who may have done a better job at this than myself.
Thank you so much for your info. I didn’t know her, but I heard everyone saying how lovely she looked at Emmy’s. I’ve never watched the Vampire Diaries, even though I’m a huge tv-series freak. Maybe I should though, if you say it is so good.

  5. Yeah I know, I really hoped it would work but I think a polish will never look like the mirror wraps 😉
The Nail Wraps are okay but a bit time-consuming, and also more expensive! I would say it´s nothing for every day!
I still like both of these Barry M. bottles but wraps do look much better of course ;))

ps: looooove this look, the shoes are amazing (love the colour) and the studded dress is really special ;))

    • I’ve never used nail wraps but I’ve seen many styles I liked. I thought it wouldn’t be as nail wraps, it’s kind of impossible, but they look nice for nail polish. Although I loved the mirror effect. I may try them sometime.
Thank you so much for answering my question and for your lovely comment. I’m glad you liked them. I’m always happy to read your comments.

  7. hey girl!so good to finally have internet at home!seems like you had a fun night out and I think it’s the first time you don’t wear matching bag and shoes, isn’t it? either way, you look fantastic!

    • Thank you Penny! Yes, I had a really fun night out as you can see from the post. I’ll make a new post about the outfit I was wearing. I don’t think I always wear matching bag and shoes. I belive that most of the times they don’t match. But I’m old-fashioned, I want the colors of my outfit to match. I prefer it.
