The Netherlands Days - 3-5 – Haarlem, Utrecht, Amsterdam - Travel 32

This is officially the last post from my vacation to the Netherlands, and beware, it’s picture loaded. So let’s resume my “travel diary” from the place I’ve stopped. I’ve already showed you days 1 & 2 which were spent in Amsterdam, then, I shared my visit to the Keukenhof gardens which was magnificent, and I also shared a couple of outfits of the day (you can go back to see these ones if you’re interested). So now it’s time to show what we did after the gardens….After we left Keukenhof, we took a bus to Haarlem, to meet with Ioanna of the Colourful Bouquet blog, and then returned to our hotel for the night. The next day, was dedicated to Utrecht. We didn’t plan to spend the whole day there, but our arrival was delayed, and we decided to spend all day there to see the city, and meet with one of my cousins whom I hadn’t seen for a while, and who’s been living in the Netherlands for a few years now. The 5th day was all about Amsterdam again. I didn’t take many photos that day, but you can watch the video I’ll be embedding below, to see what else we did. First of all we went to Vondelpark, which despite the rain was amazing, then we went for a walk at the Jordaan District, and concluded the day, and our trip to Holland with a visit to Ripley’s Believe it or Not. Of course there was lots of food, and there are food pictures to testify to that. I hope you enjoy this post, and the photos I took for you. I’ll be happy to read your comments, so feel free to leave them below if you wish. 🙂

1st look from Amsterdam | Outfits

1st look from Amsterdam - Outfit - DoYouSpeakGossip.com

I decided to change up my posting schedule a bit this week, so as to share with you more posts from my trip to the Netherlands. You might have already read the first part of my trip here, but I didn’t to share more outfit photos there, and decided to make a separate post. My outfit of the 2nd day, was definitely not something special or even stylish, but it was way colder than we had anticipated so I had to make do with what I had brought in my suitcase. So I did a lot of layering on my trip, to keep myself warm. I used a light (spring) scarf to protect me from the wind, and belt to keep my thick cardigan closed. I played a lot with tones of gray and pink on my vacation, so even if I looked 10kg more from all the layering, the colors of my outfits still matched. haha I wore my new white sneakers with the pink detail at the back, and I had to borrow my boyfriend’s grey beanie for almost the whole trip. Well, it might not look chic but it managed to keep me warm, so that’s fine by me. Hope you like my look! Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below!

The Netherlands Days 1 & 2 – Amsterdam | Travel

Amsterdam travel spring 2017 - museumplein I Amsterdam sign

As you might already know, I traveled to the Netherlands on the 8th of May, and stayed there for about 6 days, till the 13th. We arrived early at the evening of the 8th, so we didn’t have much time to do a lot that day. Since we were too hungry (hadn’t eaten anything all day), we headed to a place I wanted to try, called Jacketz, which specializes on baked potatoes with fillings and toppings, for lunch/dinner. It was delicious, but more on that on another post. After that we took a stroll around the city, which was cold and windy that day, had a walk near Leidseplein and headed back to our hotel, to get an early start the next day. On Tuesday the 9th, we started by having a nice breakfast at another food spot I wanted to try out, called Corner Bakery, which is as Instagrammable as it gets. hehe After that, we headed to Museumplein to take photos at the I Amsterdam sign, and then met up with Ioanna from The Colourful Bouquet who now lives in The Netherlands and she was our tour guide for the day. haha She took us around Amsterdam center, walked us through the flower market, the Red light district and many other places. Around noon, she left and we went to have lunch. After a short return to our hotel, we went back to Amsterdam for a night walk, and walked by the Red Light District again to see how it looks by night, before we returned back to the hotel for the night. It was a really full day, and we walked way too much, and I made sure to take as many photos as possible. The “outfit of the day” is coming soon, along with photos from day 3 in Keukenhof, and the days after that. So stay tuned. Have tons of content to share with you!
