70’s inspired | Outfit post

25 February, 2013

I don’t know what it is about this outfit, but as soon as I wore it I got a 70’s vibe off it. The almost-flare jeans, the cropped vintage jacket and brown high-heeled booties made me feel like I was in a 70’s movie. I wore this outfit on a morning date with T. We’ve been having many of those lately, as we’re trying to take more outfit photos for the blog, when the sun is still up. What do you think?

Δεν ξέρω πώς να το εξηγήσω, αλλά μόλις φόρεσα αυτό το σύνολο ένιωσα λες και βγήκα από τη δεκαετία του 70. Κάτι το σχεδόν-καμπάνα τζιν, κάτι το κοντό vintage σακάκι και τα πανύψηλα καφέ μποτάκια μου, ένιωσα λες και ήμουν σε ταινία του ’70. Φόρεσα αυτό το σύνολο σ’ένα πρωινό ραντεβού με τον Τ. Τελευταία έχουμε πολλά απ’αυτά καθώς προσπαθούμε να βγάλουμε όλο και περισσότερες φωτογραφίες για το blog, όσο ακόμα έχει φως. Πώς σας φαίνεται;

  1. Hey M! It’s been ages since I found time to have a proper read of your blog, been going through some hard times both at work and home recently but please don’t think I’ve forgotten you all together!
Had a lovely time catching up this afternoon. Firstly I love love love your (not so) new hair colour, it’s so vibrant and firey and really suits you. I loved it in the bun on the modern preppy post. Also loved that outfit as you were rocking my football teams(Aston villa) colours and looked great! Also thought you looked incredibley beautiful in your valentines inspiration outfit, that T is a very lucky man! Aswell as a talented photographer. Hope you had a wonderful valentines day together. Those cakes looked delicious, may have to pinch the recipe from you! Also hope your mom has now made a full recovery. Xx

    • Hey Laura! So nice to see your comment again! Oh you don’t have to justify your absence. We all have lives away from the Internet, and of course what happens away from it are the most important things. I hope everything is better now both at home and at work.
Thank you so much for catching up on my blog. I didn’t know about Aston Villa colors, but I checked it and you’re right! They are the same exact colors! hehe
      T. was really happy to hear the compliment you paid him. I was lucky to have him as a photographer for all outfits of this month, and I’m really thankful for his help.
I’ve linked the recipe for the red velvet cupcakes in one of the comments of that post, but maybe the comment is in greek, so here it is. The recipe is in English. 🙂
My mom is almost fully recovered now. Just some pain now and then because of the fall. It might have caused carpal tunnel syndrome, that’s why. Thank you so much for asking!
I hope you have nice week!
      xx

  2. Όλο το σύνολο είναι ssssssuper, αλλά εγώ προσωπικά “κόλλησα” με το υπέροχο τακούνι σου!!!

    • Thank you very much Steph. T. is going to be so happy when he reads this. He helped me so much with the outfit photos this month. The hair was “freshly” dyed here and they look really bright because of the sun. I’m back to copper red though. 🙂

  3. 70’s was exactly what I thought! Love the semi flared jeans, they are really flattering and the length your legs looking even more fab! The jacket is really pretty too! ps. just added you to my Blog roll on my blog, thanks for your support since day one!

    Cee. ♥

    • Thank you very much Cee. Nice to see you back! And thank you for adding my blog on your blogroll. I had your old one on my blogroll, but I’ve now edited and added your new one! 🙂

      • Oh no, I think you misunderstood me! I said that the episode was about disco – which is also the 70s like your look! That’s why I said it was a match – because of the time period, not the clothes! Disco clothes would be much more glittery, poliestery… and well just about awful usually haha!
I really liked your outfit 🙂

  4. So 70’s!

  5. This is so feminine and fabulous look. I think 70’s inspired looks are timeless and so feminine. Flare trousers are the most flattering for any type figure.
The nail art design is so sweet, just perfect for dates 🙂

    • Glad to hear that! The denims are mine (they’re not actually as flare as they look), and the jacket is vintage (my mom’s from somewhere around 70’s) 🙂
