This is the last look I had photographed back in Thessaloniki, and I can’t believe it’s almost time to go back. How fast the time went, as expected. On Friday, we’d be traveling back home with T. This is an “office” kind of look. I hadn’t worn these pants for a while and I wanted to wear them again! So I combined them with a simple short-sleeved turtleneck top, my favorite leather jacket, my two-toned high heeled pumps and my new scarf, which was a present of my sister-in-law, some time ago. I wore this look for a casual walk with my boyfriend, to go for coffee at a nearby cafe. Do you like this look? I’ll soon show you the first one we shot while we were here in Athens, and hopefully I’ll have a couple more to show you when I get back! 😉
I’ve been using the Kat von D Shade + Light contour palette for a couple of months now, and I honestly love it. I mostly use 3 out of 6 of its powders, the first light one on the left, and the left & middle ones for my contouring. I love the middle one because it’s a bit warmer than the left one, but they’re both amazing colors. I haven’t tried the other 3 yet, because I don’t think they work well for my skin color, but I do love those I’ve already used. I love how thinly cut the powders are, very light on the face, and quite pigmented, so you only need a light touch of the powder to get enough product. They blend out very easily, but due to how powdery the products are, there’s always a lot of fall-out, which I found it’s the only disadvantage of this palette. It has a really nice big mirror on the top, which is perfect for traveling with it, or if you do your makeup on the go. And it has a magnetic close, so it’s super safe to take it with you in your bag. I highly recommend you try this palette, if you love contouring and highlighting your face.
Last week I was in Athens again, for another Sephora event, that I didn’t want to miss. I didn’t take as many photos as the last time, because I was vlogging again, but here are the ones that I did take. Check out the descriptions under the photos for more details, and stay tuned for the vlog soon! 😉
Heyyy! I was finally able to go though the photos I took while I was in Athens, and I’m here to show you the diary from those days. I’ve already uploaded the vlog I filmed on my channel, but since it’s mostly in Greek, I wanted to make a post here as well. This is only part 1 though, because I had too many photos and I didn’t want the post to be cramped with them. We flew to Athens on Tuesday the 5th of September, with T., and arrived there late in the afternoon, but went straight to dinner with family/friends, so I don’t have photos from that day (you might want to watch the vlog though for some #foodporn). On the next day, my girls from Thessaloniki arrived too. You might already know them from their Youtube channels, on the photo above (left to right) we have Maria of Stylebows, Katerina of Kate Tzoe and Thalia of Miss Thalia. The reason we all went to Athens was because we were invited to attend the press event/launch party for Kat Von D Beauty, which is finally coming to Greece at the end of this month. The girls were too tired to do much, but here’s what we did… Read the captions under the photos for more….
It’s been a long time since I received this palette from Maybelline, and the truth is that I’m a little behind on my reviews here on the blog. I do review them on my Youtube channel, but I really want to also write posts for them here. So I’ll try to post reviews more often from now on. When I received the MasterBlush Color & highlighting kit, I wasn’t sure I was gonna use it much, but I ended up using it non-stop in the months that followed and I really loved it. The palette includes 3 shades of blushes and one highlighter. The blushes start from the lightest and go to the darkest. We have a peach one, a light pink one and a magenta one. You can use them all individually or you can combine them to create a more intense look. I use them all-together most of the time and do the “draping” technique where you contour and highlight your face using just blushes and a highlighter. The palette is also very practical and that’s why I also took it with me on my trip to The Netherlands. The blushes are quite pigmented, so you have to be careful about how much product you use. The highlighter is quite subtle and natural though, and that’s why I reach for it, even on days when I’m not using the blushes of the palette.
