Santa Claus is coming to town

24 December, 2011

Hello everyone! I’m really excited to be writing this post today, on Christmas Eve. We’re one day away from Christmas and we’ve already seen our first snow here in Greece, even though it was not much, and it has already melted. 🙁

I know I squeezed many posts these last weeks before Christmas, but I’m probably going to return to my previous program after it. But before I do, I wanted to show you one more outfit post. Probably the last one of 2011!

These pics were taken last week on T’s birthday, but I wanted to post it now because it’s probably the same outfit I’ll wear tomorrow too. Yes, I admit it! I will repeat an outfit if I like it, and I’m not afraid to say it. It’s really Christmas appropriate, it’s comfortable and cozy, and since we’re going to host the Christmas lunch at our house, why not wear it again?

Red is not one of the colors I use so much in my outfits, since I don’t own many red clothes, but it’s my all-time classic Christmas color.

Oh hi, that’s me without my sunglasses or cartoonish eyes! Almost showing my whole face! hehe

Vintage sweater, Zara blouse/shirt, Zara skirt, random tights, Zara bag, vintage necklace, Fullah Sugah loafer pumps. On my nails: GT Cosmetics no. 347 glittery silver.

Have a very Merry Christmas, and a fantastic time with your friends and family. Eat, drink, smile a lot and be happy! It’s the best time of the year! Enjoy it!

Sending lots of love, hugs and kisses to all of you! See you in a few days!

  1. I loooooved this post! It really shows the Christmas spirit of joy, happiness and fun! Of course one can say “this is not the spirit! The spirit is Jesus’ birthday!” OK, OK, but I meant, red is the color of Christmas! And you said you never wear it very much, but you mastered it! No one could have done it better and with more great taste and elegance, and in a different way! Not only red coats, but a touch of red “here and there” (the tights!)
I love that skirt, you know, and the shoes and bag too! And I loved the red sweater with the blouse underneath, plus the nice necklaces! You look gorgeous and I am sure you’ll be the star of the day!
As for us here, we celebrate Christmas at midnight, so we will eat something light (I don’t want to put on weight tonight, plus none of us is so keen of food, I must confess… and I lost 3 kg since Nov 15, so I have to be brave!) at around 9 or 10 pm and the snacks will be disposed for them (my two brothers) to eat whenever they want. At midnight we exchange presents and that’s all. We will have lunch tomorrow, but then the two of us, one of my brothers will be with his wife.
This is the way we celebrate it here!
In this case, and because one of my brothers didn’t want to tell me what he wanted for Christmas, I still have to go out and buy him a present! In the past my parents hosted the party, but now it’ll be me. Alone, cause my brothers are not used to do anything… OK, I know it and I’m not complaining… I am so glad to be with them and I bet my parents would be proud of it.
So, I’ll answer on Monday, OK?
And now… thanks for your amazing posts and answers… you are so sweet and lovely, and I wish you a fantastic Christmas day, make a wish and everything will come true, this is what I wish for you from the bottom of my heart!
    Filakia pollaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    • Thank you sooooo much for your lovely comment and your sweet sweet words. I’m really honored to have you as my friend. You’re the sweetest! 🙂
I’m glad you liked my outfit, cause I wore it today too, and I got many compliments from the rest of my family and relatives that saw it. Yayy! Of course I was wearing a cherry red lipstick too, both today and the day of these pics, but I had just eaten so the lipstick was gone as always.
Many people celebrate Christmas, on Christmas Eve, by having dinner, and exchanging present, but we never did it this way. At least not in my family. Many people in Greece do it. We celebrate it on Christmas day, with a huge table full of food for our bellies to explode. Lol! We said that this year we wouldn’t cook too much food, but both my mom and my aunt cooked, and even if my mom didn’t cook much (as we had agreed on) my aunt did, so again we ate till we dropped. hehe Typical Greeks! 🙂 And then we were invited to my brother’s home for a drink, because it was his wife’s nameday, and she brought us more food and dessert and wine, and Oh my dear God, I still feel full. A little bit of everything makes you feel like you’re going to explode. But I didn’t want to make her feel bad cause she made them for us, so I ate again, to be polite. Thank God we don’t have another lunch like this tomorrow again as many people do.
I hope you had a fantastic day with your brothers yesterday, and a great one too with your younger one today. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect present.
I’m sorry that I didn’t answer here earlier but I didn’t have much time these days. And of course take your time to answer whenever you like.
Thank you for you lovely wishes too. I also hope that your wishes will come true! You deserve it!
      Filakia polla! 🙂
