It’s not the first time I’ve tried CND nail polishes, you know that, since I’ve already reviewed them in the past. But today we’re going to talk about the new CND Vinylux Spring collection, called Chic Shock. The collection is full of pastel colors, with names such as Candied (pastel pink), Taffy (pastel blue), Jellied (pastel yellow) and Gummi (pastel purple). I received Candied, Taffy and Jellied, along with their amazing top coat, and I thought I’d try them on, all at the same time, to give you my full review. You definitely need 2 coats of each, for the color to look pigmented, and not patchy. For Candied and Jellied, I actually applied 3 layers. Taffy was a bit easier for me, since I got the color I wanted, from layer 2. They’re perfect for spring, and I’m sure they’re going to last long too, since they’re long wear nail polishes that last on the nails for 7 days. Have you tried any of these?
I’ve been trying the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real mascara, for quite a while now, and I can certainly say that I like it, but not exactly love it. It does give my lashes some necessary length, but not so much of a volume. The one I have is a limit edition, that’s why it has a different cup, but it’s the same product, as they one you know. It’s definitely buildable, and it looks much better after two coats on, but I don’t really like layering my mascara, and I find this one extremely difficult to remove, even with micellare water that removes even waterproof makeup. It’s definitely not bad, but I think I’ve tried better, and I won’t be re-purchasing it in the future. Have you tried it yourself? What’s your opinion about it?
I received these 2 products by Rantiant a while ago, but haven’t reviewed them anywhere till now, so I think it’s time to change that. They are both travel sizes, at 100ml, which makes them perfect to take with you while traveling, even on the cabin luggage when traveling by plane. The cleansing milk is indeed very gentle, it cleans your skin perfectly and leaves it soft. While the balancing tonic lotion, is very mild and makes your skin feel clean and refreshed. They both have a very pleasant and discreet scent, something I always appreciate in skincare products. The cleansing milk comes with a pump, while the lotion has a rotating cup that leaves just a small hole when rotated for the product to come out. Which is amazing, because you don’t waste any product, and it makes it very difficult to spill it by mistake. All in all, they’re both great and very practical products, which I love. Totally recommend them.
Seventeen’s makeup essentials palette is a limited edition one, that includes 3 types of products in it: 3 Bronzing/contouring powders (a light, a warm and a dark one), 2 blushes (one pink and one peachy), and one highlighter in champagne color. It’s a really nice palette with beautiful colors, and packaging, with a nice big mirror, and it closes magnetically. The contour powders have nice warm colors, while the blushes and the highlighter are easy to use and perfect for your everyday makeup looks. I’ve been using this for the past month or so, and I love it. It costs around 30 euros, and you can find it in Greece, and other countries where Seventeen Cosmetics sells its products (it’s a Greek brand).
The Farsali Unicorn Essence, is one of the most popular products on the internet over the past few months. It’s a “skin enhancing anti-oxidant serum”, that has a very light and sweet scent, it’s lightweight and easy to apply thanks to its dropper applicator, and has a shimmery pink color. I’ve read and heard raving reviews about this product, so when I got my hands on it, I started testing it from day 1. I’ve been using it for months now, so it’s time to write my full and honest review. It’s a very light serum, that can be used in two ways. a) as a primer/foundation base, and b) as a serum, before your moisturizer. It’s supposed to make your skin look visibly younger, and healthier. I haven’t noticed any of those benefits on my skin after using it, but it’s a quite potent serum, and acts nicely as a makeup primer. It moisturizes the skin nicely, and I didn’t have any skin irritations from it. However, I won’t be repurchasing it, because there are many other potent and less expensive products out there, that do just the same, if not even more.
