Skinfood Royal Honey Essential Queen’s cream review

Skinfood Royal Honey Essential Queen's cream review

I’ve been trying out this moisturizing cream by Skinfood for a month or so, and I can tell you it was love at first sight. It smells heavenly; like honey, and has a really nice, gel-like consistency. It is a bit sticky, and it creates some kind of a film on your face, but it is worth it, as it deeply moisturizes it, and leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated. It’s seriously one of the best face creams I’ve ever tried and I definitely recommend it, especially if you have dry skin like me.

CND Vinylux Nightspell collection

CND Vinylux Nightspell collectionA few weeks ago CND sent me their new fall collection called “Nightspell” to try it out. The full collection has 6 shades, but the gift box had 3 of them, plus a top coat. If you want to read my review about the CND nail polishes in general you should read this post. The ones I received are (from left to right): Viridian Veil, Berry Boudoir, and Lilac Eclipse. They are all really cute in their travel sized bottles and the colors are very pretty. My favorite among these is the Lilac Eclipse, which is a nice dusty lilac color, that can be worn all year long. It needs 2 coats to get it to look opaque. I also loved Berry Boudoir which is a nice berry/burgundy color, perfect for winter, which is the one I have on my nails right now. It’s very pretty, but needs 2-3 coats to look perfect. Last but not least, Veridian Veil, is the only metallic one and it’s a nice metallic blue/green color that looks amazing on the nails even with only one layer of nail polish. The top coat, is absolutely amazing, and it’s my favorite one lately, as it makes the color last longer & look shinier, and nails dry faster. Which is your favorite one?

Kat von D Shade & Light Contour palette review

Kat von D Shade & Light Contour palette reviewI’ve been using the Kat von D Shade + Light contour palette for a couple of months now, and I honestly love it. I mostly use 3 out of 6 of its powders, the first light one on the left, and the left & middle ones for my contouring. I love the middle one because it’s a bit warmer than the left one, but they’re both amazing colors. I haven’t tried the other 3 yet, because I don’t think they work well for my skin color, but I do love those I’ve already used. I love how thinly cut the powders are, very light on the face, and quite pigmented, so you only need a light touch of the powder to get enough product. They blend out very easily, but due to how powdery the products are, there’s always a lot of fall-out, which I found it’s the only disadvantage of this palette. It has a really nice big mirror on the top, which is perfect for traveling with it, or if you do your makeup on the go. And it has a magnetic close, so it’s super safe to take it with you in your bag. I highly recommend you try this palette, if you love contouring and highlighting your face.

FooTherapy Tea Tree & Aloe Moisturizing foot lotion review

FooTherapy Tea Tree & Aloe Moisturizing foot lotionI’ve been using this foot lotion for a few months now, and I’m very satisfied by it. It’s very lightweight, not too oily, but oily enough to moisturize my feet sufficiently, gets easily absorbed by my dry skin, and has a very nice minty scent. It leaves your feet hydrated, and they also feel refreshed at the same time. I use it after my bath, usually after I have exfoliated my feet and soles, and makes my feet feel super soft. It has a lot of product in it, and you just need to use a very small quantity of it each time, so it will last you for a long time. Definitely recommend this product, and I’d happily repurchase it in the future.

NYX HD Studio foundation review

NYX HD Studio foundation reviewIt’s been a few weeks since I wrote my last beauty review here on the blog, so I’m back with another one. And I can’t believe I haven’t already written a review about this makeup product. I was certain that I already had, but I checked, and no…I haven’t! Let’s correct that then! I’ve been using NYX’s HD Studio Photogenic foundation for a couple of months non-stop now and I have to tell you, I absolutely love it. It has a very nice consistency, medium to high coverage, and it’s not absolutely matte, something that goes perfectly well with my skin type which is more on the dry side, especially during the winter months. The shade “vanilla” is a little bit darker than my skin tone, but it blends so well that you can’t really tell. I love the finish it leaves on the skin, and the coverage. It’s very light weight and easy to apply, it doesn’t makes you look cakey, on the contrary, and looks great in photos or videos. I love it so much, that I’m definitely going to purchase it after this tube is over. It’s my go-to foundation for the past couple of months.
