Three outfits and an Easter feast

29 April, 2011

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great Easter vacation, with lots of fun and lots of food! I know that my vacation was something like that. At least the food part. I have to warn you that this is going to be a big and picture heavy post, so bear with me.

Here in Greece we celebrate Easter by going to church on Saturday night for the Resurrection and having a big Easter feast with family and friends while cooking and eating (a lot).

Luckily, the weather was nice enough to eat outside, so we had a great time.

Spring is a great time, cause the sun is shining, the weather is getting warmer, and the flowers are blooming. So I took photos of some of the flowers in my garden to show you how beautiful everything is at this time of the year.

I always loved photographing everything, and apart from flowers I usually take pictures of my food.

This is part of the Easter meal we had with my family. The most common food to eat on Easter day in Greece is lamb or goat prepared on a horizontal skewer, but I prefer kokoretsi. It is really tasty, even though a lot of people don’t like it.

And of course there were desserts too. Crema Catalana or Catalan Cream if you prefer, mini cheesecakes in a glass (all made by me), and a lovely fruit salad made by my aunt! They were all really tasty!

To the fashion part now, these are the outfits I wore from Saturday to Monday.

On Saturday night I wore my D&G dress, paired with my Naf Naf blazer, Guess peep toe shoes, Calvin Klein watch and a vintage necklace.

I wore nothing special on Sunday morning, I just wanted to be comfortable and therefore I chose to wear my trusty jeans and a simple top. So, no outfit picture of it.

On Sunday night I went out for drinks with some friends, and wore my Zara blouse, Dolce & Gabbana trousers, again my Guess peep toe pumps and a vintage necklace. Unfortunately I couldn’t shot better pictures because the lighting was bad and apparently my mom can’t keep her hands still. As a result, you get shaky and blurry pics with lots of noise. It’s a pity you can’t really see the necklace cause it is very beautiful. I’ll try to take better pictures of it next time.

All pictures were shot by me

On Monday morning we went with some family friends to a Chinese restaurant, and we had a great time. It was a beautiful sunny day, so I could finally wear something lighter. I chose to wear a really nice grey blouse (the picture doesn’t do it justice) from Sarah Lawrence, on top of a black Dolce & Gabbana one, black pants from Stradivarius, Minelli flats, and a D&G shoulder bag. (Guest starring my Siamese cat – Moira)

In all the pictures I’m wearing a light green nail polish by GT Cosmetics that I’ll show you on my next posts.

Sorry for the big and picture heavy post, but I wanted to show you all these outfits on the right time and not later. I hope you all had a great Easter vacation too! I’ll be happy to read your comments, so please don’t hesitate to leave me one.

Feel free to Gossip about it:

    • Thank you Denise! Aww, I’m far from a model, but you’re sweet 🙂 With 1.65 height I couldn’t even if I wanted to! I’ve just started to getting used to taking pictures of me and my outfits, but with so many bloggers posing like pros, I’m more of an amateur! But I’m doing my best at this time! 🙂
