December’s wishlist

3 December, 2011

Good morning my lovely readers! How was your week? December is finally here, and we’re getting closer to Christmas every day. I’m so excited! Christmas is my favourite holiday. I love decorating my house, and making Christmas recipes, but it also leaves me really tired, as I’m now.

This is my wishlist of December. Hope you enjoy it, as much as I do. There aren’t many things for the holidays in this list, but I’m planning to do an extra post about them. I just need to find some time in my schedule to do some “research”.

Here we go.

1. B Brian Atwood Paramour Suede High Heel Booties, $450.00, $315 (30% off) or €242.66.

Photos taken from Shopbop

It’s been a long time since I last showed you a pair of Brian Atwood shoes. So here’s a lovely pair of booties, from his B Brian Atwood line, in wine/dark brown. I really liked their shape, their color and their snake-embossed leather panel at the heel. I would really love to have them in my collection especially now that they’re 30% off. Unfortunately they’re not available in my size, but it could be in yours. Find out here. They’re also available in all black but I prefer this version.

2. Zara jacket with zipper, 79.95€.

Photos taken from Zara

I’ve been looking for a long time for this in my local Zara but it was sold out. It took me a while to decide whether I wanted to give the almost 80€, and now it’s gone. But I’m hoping to find it again. I think it would be a nice addition to my closet, as the zipper and the material makes it really special. Check it out here.

3. Diane von Furstenberg, Cassiana printed velvet pencil skirt, $275 $165.

Photos taken from Net-a-Porter

From the moment I saw it on Helena from Brooklyn Blonde, I fell in love with that skirt. Unfortunately, I had a long time on my mind to post about it on this blog and it’s already sold out. With that price, it was expected, but it’s a pity. I blame the US sales. hehe… Our sales haven’t started yet, as they usually start on February, or after Christmas, if we’re lucky.

4. Bordello By Pleaser Platform Pumps, $66.00.

Pictures taken from Amazon

I saw these beautiful pumps on the feet of one of my fellow Greek bloggers, and I had to ask her about their brand. While searching for them, I found many other fantastic pairs, with sky-high heels, and huge platforms but today I’m just going to show you these. Apart from the 2 characteristics I’ve already stated, they are red mary-janes, with cute white dots. How can I not be in love with them? I need something dotty in my closet! If you loved them too, you can order them from Amazon in red or black.

5. VJ style smiling face bag, €24.40.

Photos taken from VJ style

As you can clearly see, this bag is entirely inspired by Celine’s tote, but it’s much more economical. It can be yours here, for 24.40€ plus shipping costs. While searching for a site to buy online the Celine tote in B&W (with no luck), I came across this one too. It’s yet another look alike in B&W by Jessica Buurman.

The quality seems much better, and it clearly states that it’s inspired by Celine’s Luggage Tote Bag. The model is called Panda, made by calf leather, with free express worldwide shipping, for $139. Not bad at all. 🙂

How did you like this month’s wishlist? I’m hoping to find some time to make a more holiday appropriate one, with lots of sequins and glitters, and items to be worn on Christmas or New Year’s Eve. 🙂

One more thing before I leave you. A few days ago, Google announced that they’re going to cancel Google Friend Connect. I’m sure that most of you already know it. So from March 2012, they’re retiring the service for all non-Blogger sites (which made many people think, that it’s a strategic move to promote Google+). As GFC was a popular tool for bloggers, to build up followers, that means that from March 1st, we’re going to lose those followers.

What I want from you is to follow my blog via Bloglovin, or Facebook, if you want to stay updated. Many bloggers have already removed the GFC widget from their sidebars, as gathering more followers there, doesn’t really matter anymore, and maybe I’ll do it too really soon. So, please, show me your support and help me and my blog, by following me elsewhere. It would mean a lot to me, and I really appreciate your doing it. I want to thank all my readers, and all my followers for coming to my blog and commenting so often, and I encourage all of you to do the same with your blogs.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I forgot 🙂 The GFC is canceled for non blogger accounts.
Which means that bloggers with google blogger platform will continue to have GFC. The problem is for the bloggers who use other platforms, like you. So, as you said bloglovin and fb should replace the GFC.

  2. Great list!!!!! Now I have to say what I liked most! (I don’t have to, but I want to, hahaha!) Well, the skirt, lovely, such a pity it’s sold out…
The Zara jacket, also lovelyyyyyyyyy, but I told you, they have shamelessly stolen £44 from me, telling me they won’t refund me (through email, so shameless!) I know I’m just one client among millions they have around the world, I won’t make any difference, but my policy is now never to buy anything from Zara anymore. Although I think the jacket is really lovey!
The tote bag I saw sometime ago, and it’s really sweet and funny! The “smile” is a tongue outside, like 😛 hahaha! So sweet! The second one seems to be of a higher quality, it’s true!
The Bordello shoes I know for a long while, but never bought them. When I lived in Germany, wearing them would have meant that everybody would look at me – no problem at all, but I didn’t really have where to wear them (to the university? Nooo!) But they are very cute!
I left to the end my FAVORITE piece!!!!! The Brian Atwood booties, in that color, yes! They are so cool, so elegant, so wow! I loved them and will dream of them…
And I loved the snow falling down now in December! So sweet an creative! Lovely idea!
How is your granny? I hope she is fine!
    Filakia polla!!!!!!!!

    • Thank you Denise. My granny is a lot better thank you for asking.
You do the right thing about Zara, but maybe you should push them a little more to give you a refund. It wasn’t your fault after all.
You know, I didn’t notice the actual smiley face, until you told me. I know the name was “smiling face bag” and I wondered why, but I didn’t actually notice it, until now. hehe It’s indeed a smiley face with its tongue out 😛
About the shoes, I’ve heard the brand before, but didn’t know they had so many nice pairs of shoes. I was impressed. And the heels and platforms are huge but still not too edgy for my tastes. I know what you mean about the university. I wouldn’t either, and I have a friend who was studying at a german university too, and she told the same thing.
The Brian Atwood booties are actually my favourite ones from the list too! I loved them! Their shape is fantastic, and the color, and snakeskin detail. Love!!! Will dream of them too! 🙂 Wish I could find them in my country. They’re not so expensive…
And thank you, I’m happy you noticed the snowing effect on the blog. I put it yesterday night. WordPress announced something similar for their blogs but since mine is self-hosted, just powered by WordPress, didn’t have these effects. So I searched for a plug-in and it seems that there are lots of them. I hope it isn’t too heavy for my readers’ computers, cause I really liked it. It puts me in a more festive mood, on the way to Christmas.
Filakia polla!!! I’ll come by your blog as soon as possible. I’m soooo tired. I’m running like crazy these days. And I just baked some cupcakes, and put 4 kinds of frosting on them. hehe

    • I’m much more than a little annoyed by Google’s decision. And I’m sorry but I’m not going to set up a G+ page for my blog. That’s a really bad way to promote their G+. And it’s not only my opinion, as (from what I saw) many bloggers agree with me…There’s always bloglovin and Facebook.

  4. Hi doll! Lovely stuffed you’ve picked here, that Zara jacket is even more beautiful in person, I really liked it, and that Celine look alike bag is amazing! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
