The cardigan dress | Outfits

28 October, 2013

It’s a National Holiday here in Greece today, and I realize that not many of you will be here to read this post, but either way, I’m going to go on with my regular schedule for my foreign readers, and for all of you, who like me, stayed in the city. Last week, I met again with some of my blogger friends from Thessaloniki. It seems to becoming a regular thing, and I can honestly say I love it. Going out with friends with the same interests AND taking outfit photos for each other’s blogs is amazing. I feel blessed to have met all of them (not only the ones who made it this time). These photos were taken by Maria of Style Bows. If you want to see her outfit of the day, click here. This is another outfit, I created instantly and I loved wearing it. I wore my trusty long cardigan on top of my dress, and completed the outfit with a studded belt, my lunch bag, and a pair of high heeled booties. It was super feminine with the right touch of edgy, and I loved how the cardigan moved behind me and I really thought it looked like one piece with the dress underneath it. Blue and black was always a favorite winter combination for me, so I’m glad that it’s also one of the biggest trends of this season. Do you like it?

Σήμερα είναι 28η Οκτωβρίου και αντιλαμβάνομαι ότι οι περισσότεροι από εσάς εκμεταλλευτήκατε το 3ήμερο για να πάτε κοντινές εκδρομούλες. Παρόλο που πιστεύω ότι δεν θα βρίσκονται πολλοί τριγύρω για να διαβάσουν αυτό το άρθρο, αποφάσισα να το ανεβάσω έτσι κι αλλιώς για τους ξένους αναγνώστες μου, και για όλους εσάς που σαν εμένα, μείνατε στην πόλη σας. Την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα συναντήθηκα ξανά με τις φίλες bloggers της πόλης μου, Θεσσαλονίκης. Οι συναντήσεις αυτές έχουν αρχίσει να γίνονται αρκετά τακτικές και μπορώ να πω ειλικρινά ότι χαίρομαι ιδιαίτερα γι’αυτό. Νιώθω πραγματικά χαρούμενη που τις έχω γνωρίσει (όχι μόνο όσες κατάφεραν να παρευρεθούν στην τελευταία συνάντηση, άλλα όλες). Αυτές τις φωτογραφίες τις έβγαλε η Μαρία του blog Style Bows. Αν θέλετε να δείτε τι φόρεσε η ίδια εκείνη τη μέρα κάντε κλικ εδώ. Αυτό είναι ένα ακόμα σύνολο που μου ήρθε κατευθείαν στο μυαλό τη μέρα της συνάντησης. Φόρεσα την αγαπημένη μου μακριά μαύρη ζακέτα πάνω από το φόρεμά μου και ολοκλήρωσα το look με αυτή τη ζώνη, την lunch bag μου και ψηλοτάκουνα μποτάκια. Ήταν κάτι πολύ θηλυκό, με κάποιες ελαφρώς ακραίες λεπτομέρειες που το έκαναν πιο ιδιαίτερο. Μου άρεσε πάρα πολύ πώς κινούνταν η ζακέτα καθώς προχωρούσα και σχεδόν έμοιαζε να είναι ένα κομμάτι με το φόρεμα. Το μαύρο και το μπλε πάντα αποτελούσε αγαπημένο συνδυασμό για εμένα και πολύ χαίρομαι που φέτος είναι και τάση. Πώς σας φαίνεται;

    • Thank you! It was the first time I wore a belt over my cardi but I’m definitely going to do it again. This cardi has been with me since junior high. hehe It’s one of these pieces I wear all the time.

    • Aww thank you! That’s a really nice compliment!
      I like to think that my style isn’t the same all the time. I do have a preference for feminine and elegant looks, but I can’t dress like this every day. And I do wear many casual looks, but they don’t always make it to the blog, because I don’t have anyone to photograph them. Plus I find they’re all really similar, and because of that, a bit boring too.
      You should definitely find some bloggers in your city. It’s nice to find people with similar interests and the same hobby.
      Unfortunately my bag is ruined. I though it was leather, and it’s obviously not. I bought it some years ago in Paris, and they told me it was leather, but we probably got lost in translation or something. Its color and outer layer started peeling off. It’s so sad, because it has a sentimental value for me and the perfect grey hue. At least I got to “wear” it a lot all these years.
      As for the bags I was photographing, they’re not actually MY bags. Let’s say they’re a friend’s and they want me to help them sell them through my shop. That’s why I was photographing them. We still have many more to photograph, and we have to figure out at which prices to sell them, since they’re mostly second-hand, and that will take some time, but once we’re finished, I’ll start uploading them on my shop and of course I’ll let you all know in case anyone interested in purchasing one or two 😛

  4. blue & black is so YSL . I like that you added that studded belt it’s truly ads a right amount of edgy. You look so elegant and feminine. That’s wonderful that you have such a lovely bloggy friends. We had today as well holidays. I finally had my day off and I enjoyed it.

      Thank you so much for your comment! I agree, that the belt adds the right amount of edginess! 🙂

  5. It’s lovely having some energy (an effort, but I need to do something for myself!) to come back to visit you, and see you so amazingly beautiful as usual! I love your style and I love black clothes! So good that you met your friends, with same interests, it’s so great! I thank you for your always sweet words (do I deserve them? I don’t know!) and I hope your cold is away now! Makia!
