Yellow vintage coat

5 May, 2011

This is an outfit that I wore a few weeks ago, but I totally forgot to post about. The reason I’m doing it now, is to show you the yellow vintage coat I’m wearing, because I think it’s fantastic.

Turtleneck: Lussile, Jumper: Bershka, Jeans: Zara, Coat: vintage, Bag: Zara, Shoes: Random greek brand.

This coat used to be my aunt’s, custom-made with nice details. The truth is that after sending it to the drycleaner’s it’s a bit tight on me, but I’m determined to make it work. I love the colour of it, and it’s in a great condition after so many years.

It’s hard to find a piece like this nowadays. This is a closer view to the coat.

Do you like it? Waiting for your comments! :)

  1. I read your blog yesterday and I swear I didn’t see this post… sometimes it happens, I don’t know why… but I’m glad I saw it today, because I looooooooved the coat and you look great in it!
Sometime ago I didn’t like yellow that much, and suddenly I started to love it – so I bought a coat (but a very light one) at Asos and lately, a blouse to wear on my last exam’s day (psychologists say this is the color to wear during exams!!!)
I loved the buttons and the fabric of your coat!
You are really a fashion inspiration!!! (No joke!)

    • Aww thank you again for your sweet comment! :)
I know what you mean. I didn’t like brown color for many years, but now I want it in my wardrobe. But I don’t have that many yellow items either. And I really love this coat, and that’s why I’m so determined to wear it, even though it’s a bit tight on me now.
Didn’t know about yellow and exams. I’ll try to wear something yellow next time! hehe
Our true inspiration is our mothers/aunts/grandmothers with those amazing pieces they had in their wardrobes. I hope one day that my own daughter or grandaughter will find something so nice to wear, in MY wardrobe.

    • S’euxaristw poli Alessia! I must buy more yellow clothes for this summer then, but I’m currently obsessed with green and cobalt blue!
