Watching the sunset

24 November, 2011

Good morning everybody! How are you? I know that it’s Thanksgiving Day today in the United States, so Happy Thanksgiving to my lovely readers who live there. I hope you have a great day with your families and friends.

This is my last outfit post from Nafplio, and it’s more like a way to keep a diary of the trip than an outfit post, because I’ve actually showed you this dress again a few weeks ago, and there’s nothing special about this particular outfit. Just wore something casual and comfortable for my last day in this lovely city, to go for lunch and have a walk near the sea, while watching the sunset. It was a beautiful picture.

H&M dress, local shop boots (Largenti), D&G bag (on the side, next to my Sarah Lawrence jacket), Donna Karan sunglasses, earrings from a local shop (Voila), H&M necklace, vintage watch, and Accessory Crossing bracelet. On my nails GT Cosmetics nail polish No.  357, glitter rose gold.

Nothing you haven’t already seen on my latest posts, as I didn’t have that many things with me on my trip. Actually this is the same day as in my previous post.

Beautiful colors of the sky

So, we may not celebrate Thanksgiving in my country, but since this blog is “international”, thanks to the internet, I must say that I’m thankful too, for some things. And I think it’s time to tell you why I was being so busy these last weeks, as I told you in a few of my posts lately. If you don’t want to read it just skip to the end, to the comments section, no worries.

About 2 weeks ago my grandma, who’s 92, broke her leg and needed surgery. She was in the hospital, with fever, for days so they couldn’t operate on her. But they finally did it, and she’s a lot better now. Surgeries at this age are really dangerous, so I was really anxious, but she proved everyone wrong and showed them what a strong woman she is. I had to stay with her 5-6 hours almost every day, which left me really tired, and that’s why I was being so busy.

So, today, I’m thankful that my grandma is finally home, and her leg is getting better, and she’s soon going to get well.

What are you thankful for?

I’m leaving you with one more beautiful pic of the sunset and the sea. Have a nice day, and happy shopping to everyone who has the strength to go shopping on Black Friday! Don’t forget to show us what you’ll get. 😉

    • Thank you so much Steph! Happy thanksgiving to you too. I don’t know if you celebrate it.
I think that every country is beautiful in its own way. I like my country, but I love travelling abroad to see other countries, their architecture, their culture… 🙂

  1. Oh, my God, M.! I totally forgot about your granny! I’m so confused these days, I thought “I have to answer M.” and I inside my mind I knew there was something important, but I totally forgot it, because I am confused these days – as I said. Sooooooorry! I didn’t neglect the information, I swear, nor am I selfish, but I am really in a mess these days! I am feeling awful I didn’t answer about that, I am glad you wrote it here now!!!!!!!!
(Honestly, I am feeling awful! I know this is an email topic, but I’m so lazy now, I need to answer here!) One of these nights (well, not only one) I woke up thinking “where am I?” and another, asking “what? what?” It seems things are breaking next to me…
M., I am very happy your grandmother recovered well! I am really happy for it! And for you! I remember now when I read it, that I thought my gradmother also broke her leg once. Unfortunately, she was operated and died. So, I am even happier now, that your grandmother recovered! Thank God and her strong will!!!!!!!!!!
Your outfit is amazing, cause you know you can wear absolutely ANYTHING and you will look amazing anyway. I told you, you are the one of the few people I know who can wear anything and look stunning and super classy! (S0, that’s why I repeated it now!)
The sunset was wonderful and you keep me drooling, thinking I really want to go there soon!

    • But of course Denise, you know I’ll tell you don’t worry about that. And I mean it. I just shared the information with you, so you know my current news, you didn’t have to answer. You have so many things on your mind now that you moved again, I understand. But thank you so much for your wishes. We have her here at our home now, but she’s not very well yet, and she needs constant attention and care. I’m even more tired now than I was when she was at the hospital. I don’t have much time for myself. And I cleaned my closets today, to finally put the winter clothes inside and that made me even more tired. Hopefully she’ll get well soon.
Thank you so much for your comment too. You’re always so sweet. The sunset is beautiful anywhere, but I would love for you to come to Greece really soon, you know this. hehe 🙂
