Pastel Fever

10 May, 2012

Here we are again with another pastel colored outfit! I’ve warned you! I have Pastel Fever! Really can’t help it. On my defense, I hadn’t put my summer clothes in my closet, until 2 days ago, and I only had winter ones, and these available. And I definitely choose cool pastel colored spring clothes over winter ones. I wore this outfit last week to go for coffee with my new blogger friend Maria from Style Bows, and while waiting for her I got A LOT of stares from the people around me. Must be the fact that I used many colors in one outfit (although I consider them quite neutral, because they are pastels), or that I live in a country (Greece) where everybody stares when he/she sees something different. God, I hate that! Anyway, you’ve seen a “preview” of this outfit some time ago, when I showed it to you on Facebook, when I was trying on some of my new purchases, and I really liked the result so I decided to actually wear it to go out.

Blazer: Mango (similar here), top (similar here), jeans (similar here), clutch, shoes, necklace: all Zara, sunglasses: Donna Karan, watch: Michael Kors (buy here, similar here), bracelet: H&M.

This is shoe save #3/56 for the Shoeper Shoe Challenge by I had my hair straightened for the past week, but today I finally went to the hairdresser to freshen my balayage highlights and cut them a little bit. This post is scheduled so I really hope that nothing’s changed a lot.  I hate big changes, especially semi-permanent, that I have to live with, if something goes wrong. So fingers crossed that I’ll be my same old self when I get back today! Oh and I don’t know if this happens to anyone else, or it’s just me, but every time I think that I need a haircut, when the time comes and the appointment is booked, I suddenly fall in love with my hair as it is, and don’t want to cut them anymore. That’s so strange!

Anyway, here are some close-up shots.

I really wanted to show you my latest manicure. I’m so proud of it! I did it myself freehandedly, without tapes, and stuff. I call it rainbow tips manicure, and you can click on the pics to enlarge them to see it more closely. If you follow me on Facebook, or Twitter, I’m sure you’ve already seen it. But in case you haven’t, you can click here to see it. And you can click here, to see what I’ve used.

The weekend is near, and I really hope you’re having a nice time. See you soon. Stay tuned to see my latest shoe-buy, which I’ve promised to show you.

Feel free to Gossip about it:

  1. Oh, I love the mix of colours in this outfit – I just can’t get enough of pastels right now, and they all work together so beautifully!

And I’m exactly the same when it comes to haircuts: I spend the weeks leading up to each one absolutely hating my hair, and being desperate to get it cut, and then a few days before the appointment it miraculously starts to look better than it ever has, and I’m terrified to cut it: gah!

    • That’s exactly how I feel every time I book an appointment with my hairdresser! hehe I’m not sure I liked the result today! I find them a bit brighter than I wanted, but I guess they’ll fade a bit after the first washes.
Thank you so much for your comment! I also can’t get enough of pastels lately. 🙂

  3. I really love your rainbow manicure tips! Next time I get my nails done @ the salon I’m gonna ask them to do the same for me! Nice 🙂

Those same people who stared will take up on your idea sooner or later when no one is watching – they’ll be wearing the pastel fever colors too, lol.

    • Oh thank you so much! Really? I feel so honored! hehe I’m glad you liked it so much. It was the first time I tried it, and I don’t usually try things on my nails, cause I don’t have very steady hands. But it turned out well. It might be luck!
hehe It would be nice to seem them in pastel colors too. 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment.
