Candy colors and city lights | Outfit post

26 September, 2012

About a week ago my best friend invited us to his house in Ano Poli (Upper/Old Town) to celebrate his birthday together, with a barbecue. Unfortunately it was also a going away party, since he left to study abroad. The weather wasn’t our friend that day, since it was raining almost non-stop and we had the barbecue at his upper balcony. Thankfully his parents have built a kiosk so we were able to sit on the balcony, and avoid the rain. The added curtains held the wind away, and kept us warm enough. Despite the cold and the rain, I refused to wear a dark colored outfit, and went with my first choice. A candy colored outfit, which was pretty feminine but also very comfortable for the day.

Top and jeans: Zara, bag: Rouskas, nude peep-toe pumps: D&G, sunglasses: Ray-Ban Folding wayfarers, necklace and bracelet: H&M, watch: Michael Kors.

Light pink blazer: Mango, cape/poncho: H&M.

I was going to wear just the blazer, but as it says “dry cleaning only”, I didn’t want it to get wet from the rain, so I wore my cape/poncho on top of it, which I kept on for the barbecue too, because it was too chilly not to wear anything.

At some point, the sun graced us with its presence which was very welcome after so many days of rain.

Cute details of K.’s balcony.

This pair has already been saved according to the rules of Shoeper Shoe Challenge which I’m doing. You can see the outfit I saved them with, here.

We stayed at K’s house for many hours until we decided to leave for the cinema. It was a fun day! Leaving you with a photo of the city lights, as the title says.

A huge thank you to T. and my cousin A. for taking my outfit photos. All other pictures are taken by me.

Stay tuned to see photos from Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out – Thessaloniki on my next post!
