Parabita Meditteranean Cosmos Thessaloniki

Spring in black & white | Outfits

I’m back from my short trip to Alexandroupoli, and ready to start posting new spring-appropriate outfit posts. We shot this look last week, on a really sunny and warm day. I really enjoyed wearing my culottes with bare feet again. Being able to wear my favorite pumps in just the right temperature was perfect. I don’t have much to say about this look, apart from that I loved it! Simple, yet perfect (for me at least!). A pair of culottes, a simple t-shirt, my white high heeled pumps, and my black and white blazer. That’s all I needed to feel happy that day! 🙂

CND Chic Shock spring 2018 collection review

It’s not the first time I’ve tried CND nail polishes, you know that, since I’ve already reviewed them in the past. But today we’re going to talk about the new CND Vinylux Spring collection, called Chic Shock. The collection is full of pastel colors, with names such as Candied (pastel pink), Taffy (pastel blue), Jellied (pastel yellow) and Gummi (pastel purple). I received Candied, Taffy and Jellied, along with their amazing top coat, and I thought I’d try them on, all at the same time, to give you my full review. You definitely need 2 coats of each, for the color to look pigmented, and not patchy. For Candied and Jellied, I actually applied 3 layers. Taffy was a bit easier for me, since I got the color I wanted, from layer 2. They’re perfect for spring, and I’m sure they’re going to last long too, since they’re long wear nail polishes that last on the nails for 7 days. Have you tried any of these?

Transitioning into spring | Outfits

These photos were taken some time ago, and hopefully since then, the weather has gone full spring. But we did have some rainy days/weeks, when the coat was still needed. That was one of those days, that despite the bright sun, the day was still quite cold when you sat in the shadows. I still haven’t learned from my previous mistakes, wearing white clothes, in direct sunlight, and these shadows were the best we could do. There are some harsh shadows on my face & body, because of the surrounding trees, but hopefully you can see the outfit of the day properly. I wore a short sleeved blouse, on top of a sleeveless dress, to make the look more spring-appropriate, and then I wore my burgundy coat, boots, and bag to keep it warmer, for the weather. It was really pretty in real life, and I’m bummed that we couldn’t photograph it in a better way. More spring outfits are coming soon though. Stay tuned!

The red suit | Outfits

This red suit is a recent find, and I really wanted to wear it before the real heat comes. The pants are an amazing fit, but the blazer is a bit on the larger side, but that’s okay. I used to love such outfits some years ago. I was all the about the “strict” business dress code, with pencil skirts, shirts, and pantsuits. haha These days I’m not such a huge fan of them anymore, but I do like the occasional pantsuit, especially if it’s monochrome like this one. Red suits, and suits in general were a huge trend in winter, and they still are for spring, just in brighter colors, like pink for example. So if you own one, it’s time to dig it out of the closet. I kept everything else simple. I went with a simple and casual black top, and I wore my lace up pumps underneath, to match the color of the suit, and to also make it more modern. No need to be that strict looking. Do you like wearing suits?
