It’s the last day of August, but that doesn’t mean that summer is over. Sure, I don’t like the extreme temperatures of the Greek summer, but I don’t like fall and especially winter better, so I definitely CAN wait for the summer to end. August was an amazing month, and even though I didn’t have many outfits to show you, or I didn’t have enough time to share what I have with you, it’s ok because I finally took some time off from the blog, to enjoy my vacation and just relax. And I’m sure no one really cared that I didn’t have new posts 3 times a week, as I usually do for the past 3,5 years now, and no one “died” because of my absence. So I got back from my vacation and I more than made up for it, by posting new articles, since I missed you A LOT. Lately, I’ve been posting more and more on Instagram (you can follow me @DoYouSpeakGossip), and after the eating marathon that my vacation was, I was more than happy to be back to eating healthy and cleaner food, which I’ve been also sharing with you on Instagram. If you don’t follow me already make sure to do it now.
As most Thessalonians, I’ve been spending most summers of my life in beautiful Chalkidiki. I have to thank my uncle for this, who decided to build a house in the most beautiful place in Neos Marmaras, and my cousins who keep inviting me every summer for some days of relaxation away from the city. I was originally planning to stay for a week (which is a lot for me) but I prolonged my vacation for 2 more days. That was the most relaxation I had in a long time, and I really enjoyed my time there. I’ve already showed you some of the photos we took (check: What’s in my beach bag, Heading to the beach, and sunset at the beach posts, if you haven’t already), but before August comes to an end, I wanted to share some general photos from my vacation. I have a couple of posts left from my time there, but they’ll have to wait till September. But don’t worry, you’ll see them next week! 😉
T. and I celebrate our anniversary today and we’re going to have a nice dinner for the two of us. Last year, we took our first photos together which he kindly let me upload on the blog, so this year; I wanted to continue this little “tradition”. To make it even more special for us, Anatoli kindly offered to take our pictures so we have a nice reminder of the anniversary. We took the photos some days ago so I can have them today, but this is the look I’ll be wearing tonight (the clothes at least – I’ll come back with the full outfit post on Monday). I want to say to T., that I’m hoping to celebrate many more anniversaries together in the future, if he can still handle me, which I know it is a difficult task. 😛 And I want to thank Anatoli for capturing our love with her camera, and creating nice memories for us. My feelings haven’t changed a bit, and I still feel blessed every day to have this person in my life.
Our 3rd day in Serbia, we travelled about one hour far from Belgrade, to the 2nd largest city of the country, Novi Sad. We were lucky to have the weather by our side that day; it really felt like spring. Our first stop was Petrovaradin Fortress, where we saw the city from above. 2nd stop was the city’s center, where we wandered and got to see the city ourselves (without our guide), till we stopped for lunch. We returned to Belgrade in the afternoon where we walked through the city, did some shopping (you’ll soon see the contents of my bag, for those of you who follow me on Instagram – but this will probably happen early next month), and ended our last night in Belgrade, in Skadarlija a really picturesque cobbled street with bars and restaurants. The outfit-of-the-day photos are coming on my next post… Have a great weekend, and see you all on Monday! Don’t forget to follow me on social media.
My, my, this month passed so fast! But I can definitely say it was exciting, and I really wish the whole 2014 to be as exciting as this month was (if not more). Well, for starters, this month set a new record for my outfit posts: 12 out of the 14 posts of the whole month (you can see them all here)! My previous record was 9. I really hope to continue this way for the whole year! So apart from lots of outfits, this month was full of meetings with dear friends; it marked my blog’s 3rd anniversary (and the new totally custom-made design of the blog, which I love), saw the first snow of the season, and made my 1st appearance as a blogger on TV, on a local TV show. Pretty exciting, no? I’ll let you enjoy the photos of this post, which includes my insta-pics of the month, for those of you who don’t have an Instagram account (if you do, then you must click here and follow me now! What are you waiting for? 😛 ). Let me know which outfit is your favorite of the month. Mine are 5, 10 and 12 (horizontally).
