Today, I was going to show you a new outfit post, but decided to keep it for Monday, since I currently have a heavy work load, and I’m also lacking new outfits to show you. So till I manage to shoot some, here’s my new lookbook video, with a – bit more than a – little preview of my new look, which is coming on Monday. The other day, when I was telling you how you can wear your pencil skirts in everyday outfits, I got inspired to show you a very casual version of it. In fact this is a sporty way to wear your pencil skirt, and it’s actually a combination I quite liked. I stepped away from the safety of the skirt’s colors and played with the basic white to make the outfit really pop. I combined my All-stars with my white backpack to make the outfit even more young and playful, and then I glammed it up on the top part with a statement necklace, a blazer and a red lip. What do you think?
If you follow me on Instagram, if not click here to follow me now, you’ve probably seen part of this outfit, when I want for brunch, about 2 weeks ago. The reason I hadn’t posted it yet, is because I wanted to finish with all my Athens-diary posts first. So I wore this outfit for brunch, simply because it is super comfortable and it was warm enough for the day. We’ve been having some really beautiful, warm & sunny days for the past couple of weeks, but we’re getting rain from Sunday on, and I can’t say I like it. I’ll try to photograph as many outfits as I can, before the rain comes. Pencil skirts are misunderstood most times, because people think they’re for more formal occasions, but depending on the fabric and the elasticity of the skirt you can easily be comfortable too. And it’s super easy to dress it down, just by wearing it with a nice chunky sweater, tights, and a comfy pair of low ankle boots. Just like I did here! To make it more interesting, I added a statement necklace! Easygoing, yet pretty! Don’t you think?
This is an outfit that I’ve worn many times, more or less exactly the same; Yet none of them I got the chance to photograph it for the blog, so I thought, “hey, I should keep it as a Valentine’s Day outfit”. Well, I decided to wear it sooner than that, as an inspiration for the day, because yes, red is the color of VDay. What I didn’t realize, was that it would snow, and I wouldn’t have counted the days right, so I had to wear it and photograph it a day after it snowed. Yes, the snow melted, but the low temperatures stayed with us. So we took these photos in approximately 5’, before I get hypothermia, and then I got home and changed to something warmer. I never do that, because I like to show you what I actually wear outside, but I figured it isn’t cheating if I’ve worn it so many times before (I can count at least 3-4). So this outfit is purely for inspiration ladies. Have a fabulous Valentine’s Day tomorrow, lovebirds.
I’m back with another pencil skirt and an outfit I actually saw in one of my dreams, and woke up with the mood for it. So since the weather is getting colder and colder, and it’s no longer comfortable to go out bare-legged, this was probably my last chance to wear it. Not that I didn’t feel cold after sundown, but I was mostly indoors that day, so it wasn’t that bad. As you’ll notice, my belt and my cat-eye sunglasses are my only accessories to this outfit. I think I’m getting back to my old self, when my only accessory was my watch. But it’s probably just a phase. Hope you like this look!
