Hello, hello!! How was your weekend? A new week starts today, and in the end of it there’s Christmas. I’m sure many of you will have lots of parties to attend this week, and maybe the next one too. So, I prepared for you a post to give you some ideas of what you could wear at those holiday parties (Christmas, New Year’s Eve etc.). I hope you enjoy reading this post, and you find the perfect dress among my recommendations.
It took me a while to create this whole post (a real pain, with all these hyperlinks and collages), but I really enjoyed making the collages.
So, let’s start with the more affordable dresses you could wear, since most of us are on a tight budget, and haven’t much money to spend on it. But we still want to wear something new, and look glamorous in it. Am I right?Click on the picture to enlarge All pics are taken from the sites given; I don’t own any of them From top left and horizontally: Asymmetric Zara Studio dress, River Island Metallic dress, TFNC Contrast Sash Bandeau Dress, ASOS Cut Out Bodycon Dress with Mesh Insert, ASOS Dress with High Neck Mesh, Isabeli Fontana by Terry Richardson Mango dress, Mango long sleeve dress, Rainbow Lurex Cross Back Dress by Dress Up Topshop, Mango lace dress, Oasis Sequin Skater Dress.
Did you find the right dress or are you looking for something more luxurious or extravagant, and want to splurge on one? Don’t worry! Here’s a list for you too.Click on the picture to enlarge All pics are taken from the sites given; I don’t own any of them From top left and horizontally: Vince Sequin-embellished crepe dress, Alice + Olivia Ritchie sequined silk-crepe dress, Alice + Olivia Sequined stretch-mesh dress, Moschino Cheap and Chic Tinsel-effect lame dress, Alice + Olivia Leather and tulle dress, J.Crew Sequined silk-crepe dress, Stella McCartney Two-tone jersey dress, Burberry London Silk-georgette dress, Notte by Marchesa Draped silk-crepe dress, Red Valentino Ruffled stretch-crepe dress, Dolce & Gabbana Lace and satin bustier dress, Victoria Beckham Stretch-jersey dress.
Now I know that most of you will say that you like the dresses from the first row, ‘cause they are more special and more appropriate for a holiday party. After all sequins are a huge trend right now and that’s why I put so many sequined dresses on the list – because I know how much you like them. BUT, I think that the first row is more suitable for younger women – in their 20’s – and the 2nd one for older ones – 30’s or 40’s, depending of course on your personal style. No offense to the women in their 30’s and up. It doesn’t mean that you can’t wear those dresses from the 1st row. I’ve just noticed, that most women in their 20’s find the dresses on 2nd row more conservative. But not me! In fact my personal taste is going more to the 2nd row, and I’m still on my 20’s. And I think that these dresses will look gorgeous for holiday parties, if you pair them with the right accessories.
Let me show you what I mean…Click on the picture to enlarge All pics are taken from the sites given; I don’t own any of them From the top and clockwise: ASOS HYSTERIC Glitter Platform High Sandals, Kandee Rosso booties, Kandee Blueberryade pumps, Christian Louboutin Metallip 120 suede and metal pumps, Kandee Limonade booties, Jimmy Choo Greta lamé-covered suede sandals, ASOS PEPPER Platform Peep Toe Mary Jane Shoes, Zara wide heel sandal with stones, Christian Louboutin No. 299 150 suede and python pumps, Kandee Cavity booties.
