Dress as a skirt | Outfits

I’m sure you’ve all tried wearing a dress as a skirt in the past, haven’t you? I do it a lot, with some of my dresses, but I’ve never done it with this one. I love how loose and comfortable it is, but at the same time, exactly for the same reason, it can look like a night gown, if not paired with a cardigan/jacket or a belt. And I end up not wearing it as often as I would like to, because I’m tired of the same combinations of items. So, this time, I decided to wear it with one of my thicker sweaters, which also happens to be quite long. I tucked it in, with a belt, to make it shorter, and I think it ended up looking great! For a dose of spring, since we’ve been having amazing weather lately, I wore it with my blue shoulder bag, and for the comfort factor, I also wore it with my everyday ankle boots. What do you think?

After sundown | Outfits

As you can see, we took these photos way after sunset, and they’re a little bit dark and grainy, but we didn’t manage to photograph my look on time. We shot these on Sunday, when we went out with my family (and T. of course), to celebrate my nameday, which was yesterday. I rarely wear so dark colors in summer, let alone an almost completely black outfit, but I really wanted to wear my new top which I didn’t have the chance to wear before, and I thought that it would look best with these pants underneath. So here it is, an almost total black look, with some yellow accents. Nothing too special, but it was my look of the day, kind of casual, kind of not, but definitely comfortable for the night. How was your weekend?

Retro Vibes | Outfits

Some retro vibes for today’s outfit post, inspired by my new mules, which I wore for the first time. The skirt is also kinda new, since I received it last fall, but didn’t get to wear it till now. Of course my favorite item from this look, is definitely my yellow top, which you’ve already seen me wearing it on this blog post. I wore this look for a walk around town, and for a lunch date with my girl friends. Super airy and comfortable, for the scorching heat we’ve been having lately. The skirt isn’t really my style, but I showed it in of my hauls last fall, and almost everyone told me it looks good on me, so that changed my mind. What do you guys think about my skirt, and new mules? Do you like them?

Stripes everywhere | Outfits

Hello my dear readers! How are you? This is the last photoshoot we did a while back, with one of my latest purchases: this striped jumpsuit. I got it about a month ago, and I loved it so much, I was eagerly waiting for a chance to wear it. But when I finally did for this shoot, and to do some grocery shopping afterwards, I realized that it was way too small for me. It was actually chocking me when I was sitting, so it had so go back. Fortunately I did find and bought the larger size, which I then gave to my seamstress to alter, so it sits perfectly on me. Hopefully I’ll have more luck with it. It looks super tight and not at all ironed at these photos, which irritates me because it was indeed ironed just before we went out. Let’s ignore those creases though, and look at the whole outfit. I paired it with my sleeveless blazer, and my white pumps. I also wore my mom’s vintage & handmade bag which has come back to fashion this summer. What do you think? I loved it! 馃檪

Total red | Outfits

It may sound, or even look crazy, but total red looks are very much in trend right now, and it’s a style I wanted to try out for a long time now. I love monochrome looks, and I really liked this one, even though I’d prefer to wear a different color for the top and the bag, to break all that red. It’s the second time I wear these red pants, and I actually prefer the previous look I created with them. Total red is as bold as I imagined, but in a weird way, it looks good. But it will definitely make many heads turn, so if that’s not something you like, maybe聽 you should stay away. For me, it really isn’t, but it was a nice change from my usual outfits. I got a bit out of my comfort zone with the colors and tried something new, so I’m happy about it, and I have some photos to remember that. 馃檪
