Can you keep a secret?

Are you familiar with Pretty Little Liarstv show? I started watching it (when it first aired), during the summer break of all the other TV shows I’m currently watching, and to be honest it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. However, it was interesting enough to keep me watching it and I’m glad I did, because it turned out to be a very good one.

The series follow the lives of Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily, four girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their queen bee, Alison. One year later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure using the name “A” who threatens to expose their secrets — including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew (Source).

The show had a four month break after September, and it continued its 1st season on January 3rd. From then, the story got darker, the fashion way better and the characters more interesting. I can describe the show, as a mixture of Sex and the City, in a more teen way (four basic female characters, who are close friends, each with her own style and personality), and Gossip Girl (don’t tell me you don’t see the resemblance between “A” and “Gossip Girl”? They both have a way to know all the dirty secrets and threatening to expose them. Plus, we don’t have a clue of who they really are. And they both have a Queen bee character. For “Pretty Little Liars” it was Alison, and for “Gossip Girl”, the one and only, Blair Waldorf). Furthermore, Pretty Little Liars takes place mostly in a high school, like Gossip Girl did in the first seasons, and its fashion style has evolved a lot. Each character has a unique and very interesting style, which the audience has begun to imitate, as well as Sex & the City’s and Gossip Girl’s.

Playing “the stylist”

Hello dear readers! A few months ago, I found a new way to pass my spare time. I “discovered” a website in which you can play the role of a stylist and dress your models, anyway you like. There are thousands of clothes, bags, shoes and other amazing accessories, which are the real designs/items of numerous brands and designers. Many of you may already know it. I’m talking about Looklet, and if you don’t know it yet, you can pay a visit to the site, to see the looks made by some of the “stylists” or, even better, create a look yourself. It took me months before I created an account there, but once I did I was hooked.

The reason I’m telling you all these, is because I want to show you some of the looks I created, through this site. So, for today I’m going to show you some casual styles I liked the most.

Shopping Spree

I’m not so proud to admit that I went shopping and spent a respectable amount of money on buying only a few things. Don’t rush into conclusions by thinking that I bought any designer clothes, or other expensive brands, because, it’s far beyond that. I actually went shopping at Zara stores and bought: a coat, a dress, a blouse, a bag, and a pair of shoes (In my defense, they were all from the new Spring-Summer 2011 collection).

I never bought so many staff from Zara, nor did I ever spend so much money on buying things that are usually cheap, in such stores, so this is a first. I used to keep my money, so I could buy something more expensive and more brand-y, but I didn’t find anything worth having. So I decided, why not spend it on something cheaper that I actually like. So this is what I bought.

Victoria Beckham Collection AW 2011

In February 13th, Victoria Beckham presented her new collection for AW 2011, during the New York Fashion Week. Even though she is pregnant with her fourth child, it seems that she might be wearing some of her own dresses from this collection after all, as they are more loosened up than ever before. She said she finished her fall collection before she found out she was pregnant, so she must be thrilled not to have made them all fitted. I can’t wait to see what’s she’s going to wear during her fourth pregnancy, but i hope, that this time, she has a baby girl. I can only imagine how she’s going to be dressing her, but judging from Victoria’s style, she will surely be as fashionable and amazing.

So, here are some of the looks I found more interesting.

The “drama” queen

One of my previous shoe-obsessions was definitely, the Brian Atwood Drama patent-leather pumps. Worn so many times, by my all-time favourite fashion icon, Victoria Beckham, they couldn’t go unnoticed! They were sold here for $660 or €562.02, in the 140mm heel version, but they sold out quickly! Stocked again, in some sizes, they were sold for €393.42, during the sales period.
