Hello my dear readers! I hope everyone had a really nice week, and now enjoys his weekend. My week was a bit tough, but yesterday 11/11/11 my main problem was solved, and hopefully this is going to be a fabulous weekend, and a more fabulous week. It seems that 11/11/11 was indeed a lucky day, as everyone “predicted”. I’ll share more details, when I’ll be sure that everything is ok.

Anyway, these photos that I’m going to share with you today are from my trip to Nafplio as you may have already guessed. I hope you won’t get tired seeing “old” outfit posts, but the weather is not so good for fresh outfit posts anyway.

Sitting in the amazing window of my hotel room, the same room I had the last time I was there.

Please once again excuse the bad lighting, as most of the pics on this post were taken after nightfall, inside the room. But don’t worry; these are the last ones you’ll see from inside the room. Lussile top, Zara top (underneath), Sarah Lawrence leggings, local shop boots (from a friend’s shop called Largenti), Donna Karan sunglasses, vintage necklace (really old one), Esprit watch, and Follie Follie bracelet (for FNO 2011- a gift from my cousin). I wore my D&G bag again, with this outfit, but now I see that I forgot to include it in the pictures.

Some of the details:

The vintage necklace: one of my favourites

The Follie Follie FNO bracelet. On my nails GT Cosmetics, no. 357 (Glitter rose gold).

I hope you liked this outfit. Stay tuned for more pics from my trip to Nafplio.

I’m leaving you with one more pic on the beautiful window of the room.

Have a fantastic weekend, and don’t forget to follow this blog!

New in my closet

I’m one of these people who prefer to bring back shoes/clothes/accessories as souvenirs from their trips. So when I saw these babies in the window of a small store in Nafplio, I knew I had to return to take them home with me.

They’re from a Greek brand called Fullah Sugah, from their Boutique collection. I wanted to show them to you the other day, on my previous post, but somehow I forgot. They are really different from what I usually wear (they have straps, chunky heels, loafer style), but somehow I was drawn to them. Can’t wait to wear them….

However, when I was searching something completely different on the internet the other day, I came across these Miu Mius shoes:

I knew there was something familiar about these loafer pumps. Can’t believe I didn’t see it before. Of course they’re not identical, and the quality difference is huge, but they were definitely “inspired” by the Miu Mius. It seems that I accidentally bought a look-alike pair of shoes again, but oh well, what can I do?

If you like the shape of the Miu mius, but you have many black shoes, I should inform you that there is also a camel version of them available.

What do you think of the new addition to my closet? Can’t wait to show them to you in an outfit! But that might take a while because a have some more outfits from my trip to show you. So please be patient, and stay tuned. Or even better, why don’t you follow this blog? ;)

Oh la la

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I hope you had a great start of the week. My weekend wasn’t so good, many things happened, but you’re not here to read about this, so I’m moving on to the subject of this post. This is the first outfit I wore when I was in Nafplio. Really simple, really casual, to walk around the city…

Bershka top, Tommy Hilfiger jeans, leather boots from a store in Thessaloniki (Largenti – previously seen here), D&G bag, Michael Kors watch, Accessory Crossing cuff bracelet (Denise’s gift from my previous post), Sarah Lawrence jacket and Donna Karan sunglasses.

I have to warn you that you’re going to see a lot of these boots, my bag and my trusty autumn jacket in my photos from Nafplio. Because I wanted to take a small suitcase with me, so I excluded many of the accessories, and preferred a bigger variety of clothes. I hope you won’t get bored seeing them in my pictures.

It was so nice to walk through the city again, and take some photos with the new camera. The weather wasn’t ideal the first day, mostly cloudy and really windy in the afternoon, but it was worth it.

As you can see, I’m wearing my jacket in many of the pictures, because of the weather, but I still wanted to show you those.

Photographing the sea from above… Beautiful scenery! T. took this picture with my smaller camera. We were using them both. :)

What do you think? I promise you more beautiful and interesting outfits in my next posts. You’re going to see lots of them. I have many more outfits from Nafplio to show you before you see a new one.

If you like this blog, why don’t you show your support by following it? ;)

My week in pics – Nafplio edition

Good morning dear readers! How was your week? It’s finally Friday, and I know many of you are really happy about it.

Today I’ll present you with one more “My week in pics”, which this time consists of photos of my trip to Nafplio. I know that so far this column doesn’t have a standard day of the week to be published, (as I don’t write daily on this blog, cause that would be difficult for me), but I’ll try to work it out in the future, if I’m going to continue writing it.  Maybe I should try posting more often than 2-3 times a week.

Anyway, I have many outfits from my trip to show you in my future posts, but I thought it would be better to start with showing you some miscellaneous pictures instead. So you can get a picture of the place I’ve been last week, and for me to keep some kind of a scrapbook to remember it.

Huge post alert! Lots of pictures too!

Starting with, the buildings:

These are some of the buildings of the old town where I was staying. Probably renovated ones, but still looking traditional, and in really nice colors.

Some small pensions and the war museum at the bottom right… Really nice buildings…

I was staying in an amazing hotel as well, in an old renovated house, with only 6 rooms and suites, which were perfectly decorated. It’s the second time in 2 years, I visited Nafplio, and I liked this small hotel so much, that I had to stay there again.

You can see from the outside, that it has an Italian theme, and name (il Palazzo), as it’s painted in red and green. If you ever visit Nafplio, I definitely recommend it to you…If you want to see more pictures of it; just visit its website here. You will not be disappointed. And no, this is not an advertisement, just a satisfied customer.

The old city of Nafplio is full of small alleys, traditional buildings, and lots of stairs. Don’t believe me? Here’s a pic for you…

Yes, I went up and down on those many times during my stay. Great exercise! And a much needed one, after all the food, coffees and sweets I devoured while I was there.

But look at them…

Can you blame me? They were all delicious! And this is a really small sample. I was too busy eating my food to take pictures.

In this pic: penne with 4 cheeses, Chilino (a mix of white chocolate and oreo cookies), and a double cappuccino. The 2nd one was T’s.

However, I wasn’t too busy to photograph those yummy cupcakes. After all it’s a must for bloggers, a blogger’s cliché if you like.

Top left pic: me with a super delicious red velvet cupcake, my favourite of all.
In the middle, from top left and clockwise: Red velvet, midnight with oreo cookies, Vanilla (2 of them), Blueberry, and caramel cupcakes.
At the bottom: red velvet again, lemon, special of the day (chocolate with orange topping), and peanut butter.
On the right: me eating the special of the day one, and on the bottom of all, the store with all the cupcakes, cookies, and cakes. I ate a peanut butter cookie as well, and it was perfect. I should learn how to make them.

Moving on to pictures without food as I’m getting hungry again…

Some pics with a great view of the sea, and Akronafplia….

On the last pic: the castle of Bourtzi.

Lastly, some pics from the Palamidi fortress

On top left, the view of Nafplio from the fortress of Palamidi.

I have so many more pictures, but I already tired you far too much with these. I hope you clicked on them to enlarge them, cause the view was marvellous. If you want to see more pictures of Nafplio, and Akronafplia, you can visit an amazing site I found, here. Wish I had seen it before my trip.

Enough for today though. See you in a few days with an outfit post from Nafplio.

And don’t forget to follow this blog.
