My month in pics – May 2013

My favorite month ends today, but I got left with many great memories. So what happened in my life and on this blog this month? I shared with you 9 outfit posts (which must be a record for me), which I’m going to link below. And I had so many nice things to share with you on my Facebook page. I love this so much! I want to share more and more with you on my social networks. It makes me feel closer to you, and I love to interact with all my lovely readers. Since I don’t have an instagram account, you can find some of the photos I shared on my social channels below. Head over to my Facebook page, to like it if you haven’t already, and be the first to see the photos and updates when I post them. Let’s see, have you missed anything? Apart from my outfits, I shared some new ins, the 2nd part of my blogging tips (on how to choose your blog’s design, a MUST read for ALL bloggers), and a post about what I learned from doing the Shoeper Shoe Challenge the past year. On top of all May was the month of my birthday! Click on the links to catch up with all posts of May. I’m really proud of myself, not only because I managed to share so many posts with you, but also because I managed to keep my personal schedule, and even post more on my social networks, even with having to use my old PC, because the “new” one has yet to be fixed. I hope it will, soon. And now, my favorite part…Which was your favorite outfit and memory from May?

Wedding season | Outfits

Wedding season is here, and we were invited to our first wedding last Saturday. Some of you must have already seen some details of my outfit on my Facebook page (if you’re not a follower, hit the “Like” button to get my latest updates), but I’ve made an outfit post to show the whole outfit to all of you! So far I’ve shown you about 3 wedding outfits on the previous years (here, here and here). You’ve already seen this dress on my cousin’s wedding outfit post. I wanted to wear the same but with different accessories. So I chose my new jelly bag, my new bracelet (birthday gift from my dear blogger friend Denisehead to her blog and follow her as well, she’s the most amazing girl), and pair them with my color blocking Tsakiris Mallas sandals, that I bought last spring (seen before wearing them with this outfit). I decided on a fishtail braid hairstyle, to battle the heat, and the crazy wind.

Matchy matchy | Outfits

Apart from my love for monochromatic looks, deep down I’m a sucker for matchy matchy outfits. I know that we live in an era where matching colors too much is OUT, but I like the (kinda retro) vibe I get when I wear matching colors. It’s something I learned from my mother, from my early years and no matter which trends are IN and which are OUT, I think it gives a kind of elegance that will never go out of style. Now that summer is really close, I can’t help but wear bright colors. I wore this specific outfit last week, to go get my new PC tower (still working on my old computer when I’m writing these lines), and have a doctor’s appointment downtown. All photos are taken by T.

What I learned from doing the Shoeper Shoe Challenge

One of the questions I’ve been getting a lot while doing the Shoeper Shoe Challenge, was “what is the Challenge?”, and “do you win anything if you finish it?”. The first question has already been answered many times through my posts, but I’m going to say it one more time here: It’s a challenge created by Shoeperwoman.com to help you wear all your shoes. The rules of the challenge are: You should wear and photograph all your shoes, at least once in the duration of a year; otherwise, you should give them away/sell them etc. You can read the rules here.

New in | Quilted jelly bag, mirrored sunglasses and more

A few days ago, I went for coffee with my friend Elena, and after that we hit the stores. I wasn’t going to buy anything, but I wanted some easy-to-wear casual tops, and since they were inexpensive I got 2, in the same design but different colors from Zara. I don’t have many polka dotted pieces in my closet, so it was really nice to add this one. After that, we went to H&M, where I looked for a pair of mirrored sunglasses I’ve seen online, with no luck. So I decided to visit the men’s department, where I scored these clear plastic ones (which are folding). The final and most favourite of all, this turquoise quilted jelly bag, which I received as a birthday present from my sister-in-law. You’ll see me wearing them on my next posts, so stay tuned!
