Day 5 in Chios – The outfit

The day after the wedding, my mom promised to take me to the place I spotted at Day 1, to take my outfit photos, just before we started our next trip to the nearby villages.  It was a very cute and picturesque marina very close to our hotel. I really liked this place, and I wanted it to be one of the locations I used for my outfit photos. The wind was blowing like crazy, but that didn’t stop me from wearing my strapless dress, and pose for photos.

Family gathering | outfit post

The day before my cousin’s wedding, and of course after all the travelling and touring the island (I described in my previous post) we gathered at my aunt’s house. We weren’t initially going to stay for dinner, but seeing all the family gathered there it was hard to leave. My aunt made a huge table and all the family (and some friends of the bride) sit around to enjoy the food she had prepared for us. It was so nice to see all of my father’s side of family in one table (his 2 sisters with their husbands, and almost all their families as well). It’s something that hasn’t happened for many years. Really wished my father was there to celebrate with us. It felt really weird being on “his” island without him. But let’s leave this sentimental stuff behind and continue to the outfit of that day!

Day 3 in Chios – Pirgi, Mesta, Emporios, Komi

Day 3 of our trip to Chios was completely free from wedding stuff. My aunt and cousin didn’t need us, so it was the perfect chance to start touring the island a bit. With my mom as our tour guide, we took our rental car, and begin our trip to Mastichochoria (the mastic villages in Greek). I took many photos so be prepared for a picture loaded post again.

Our first stop was the medieval village Pirgi, which has the largest population of Mastichochoria. Most of Pirgi’s houses are painted with the “xista” technique, which makes the village unique. Here’s a small sample of the houses, and the village.

Boyfriend denim shorts and high heels

Good morning everyone! How was your weekend? This is something I wore a few days ago to spend the day with the bf…We went to the super market, we cooked lunch together, and after that, we went for dinner with friends (a lot of food I know, but I only had a salad for dinner). Of course I had another outfit with me to change into when cooking…All and all it was a great day!

Shopping in heels

In my previous post, I showed you, my latest shoe purchases, which brought my shoe collection to a total of 59 pairs! That’s a lot, but as a shoe lover, it’s so difficult to say no to new pairs. Especially if they are affordable! As I told you, I wore my newest black pair of sandals to go shopping the other day! Of course I had my emergency flat sandals with me, just in case I needed them, but I didn’t. When I tried them on, I found them really comfortable, so when the previous day of shopping in my flats tired me a lot, I thought I’d put these babies into a test to see how comfortable they really were. And guess what? They didn’t disappoint me! I was wearing them for 7 hours while shopping, and they didn’t hurt my feet at all! I wanna wear them all day long….
